#1349 Rabbi Berland’s Chanuka Prayer To Believe In All The Tzaddikim
Master of the world who can do anything, before I go to light the first candle of Hanukah, because the candles of Hanukah are 36, representing the 36 spiritual excisions (kreitot), representing the 36 Tzadikim which are in every generation, and whoever doesn’t believe in them is liable for spiritual excision (karet), like it says, “and the soul was cut off from its people”, because the flame of the Hanukah candle is taken from the prayer of Hannah [in Hebrew Hanukah can be split into the letters of Hannah and kaf vav], like it says, “and Hannah prayed on Hashem”. So, through the candles of Hanukah may we merit to rise up to Atika Kadisha, the Holy of Holies, the most hidden, the most concealed, because through the candle of Hanukah, we merit to rise up above Atika Kadisha, because through the candle of Hanukah that Hannah drew down, that performed miracles for our forefathers, that returned to us the 350 multitudes of light, that were taken from Chavah (Eve) at the sin of the Tree of Knowledge, which we intend when we say, “who performed miracles for our forefathers”, 350 multitudes of light, that are drawn down through the candles of Hanukah in the blink (305) of an eye (130) = 435 and through this, Hashem who is One (1), may we draw down the soul of Moshiach the son of David (434) = 435 who is the Tzadik (209) the foundation (80) of the world (146) = 435 who is revealed in every generation anew, and in particular at the lighting of the Hanukah candles, at which time he is revealed with more power and with more strength.
Concerning the “350 multitudes of light” , it is written Shin Ayin = 370 in Hebrew. It is upposed to be 370 multitudes of light.
