Today, 22 Tammuz, is the 34th anniversary of the passing of Rabbi Levi Yitzchak Bender zt”l, leader of Breslov Chasidut, conveyer of the tradition, and reviver of Breslov in the last generation.

Below is a new letter which his talmid muvhak, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit”a, wrote today about his greatness, that only in his merit was Chasidut Breslov revived after the Holocaust:

Yahrzeit of Rabbi Levi Yitzchak Bender ztvk”l

The greatest Tzaddik of the last generation was the Gaon and Tzaddik Rabbi Levi Yitzchak Bender ztvk”l, who revived the yoke of Torah, and revived all Chasidut Breslov anew after the terrible Holocaust, that not even a little remained of the Chasidut.

And he, with supreme self-sacrifice, merited to continue the light of the Chasidut also in a dark generation like ours, and instilled anew the light of Rabbeinu in the hearts of the youth and new young men that in their hearts was lit the light of our holy and awesome Rebbe, who lives and endures forever and ever.
