As mentioned, Rabbi Berland has dissappeared recently to an undisclosed place of seclusion and has been out of contact with his large community of followers in Jerusalem. Today, Wednesday the 28th day of the Hebrew month of Tamuz, Rabbi Berland sent a written prayer to be recited early Thursday morning at 5:01am Israel time at the auspicious time of the birth of the new moon of the Hebrew month of Av. Our sages teach that in the month of Av when the temple was destroyed will be the begining of the redemption and the revelation of new temple. The words of this powerful prayer emphasize this concept and plead for this to be the month of redemption.

PRAYER FOR THE BIRTH OF THE NEW MOON FOR THE MONTH OF AV 5779

Please G-d, the entire Tisha B’av (the 9th of Av) is a preparation Tu B’av (the 15th of Av), when the daughters of Israel would go out dancing in circles from 6:00 in the morning until 8:00 in the evening, until the stars come out, with borrowed white clothing, and a princess would borrow from the daughter of the Cohen Gadol (Jewish High Priest), and the daughter of the Cohen Gadol would borrow from the daughter of the deputy and so on, and everyone would go out with borrowed white garments because that is the time of the fulfillment of the verse, “If your sins will be like scarlet, they will whiten like snow, if they were red like crimson, they will become [white] like wool”.
