“The habit of learning is higher than fulfilling all the mitzvot” — so Rabbeinu Nachman wrote in Sefer HaMidot (The Alef-Bet Book). There is no one in all of Breslov like our Rebbe Rav Berland shlit”a who expounds on the obligation to learn, and how much Rabbeinu HaKadosh charges us regarding Torah learning. And Rav Berland shlit”a really fulfills “expounds well, fulfills well.”
With great Heavenly assistance, at the “Shuvu Banim” synagogue under the auspices of Rav Berland shlit”a, “Heichal HaTorah — Shuvu Banim” was dedicated, being a place where it’s possible to learn the holy Torah with yeshuv da’at (a settled mind).
In the dedication ceremony, the Rav shlit”a partipated and blessed “al keviat mezuzah” (the blessing recited when placing a mezuzah). Afterwards, the Rav shlit”a gave over a special shiur at the meal of the chanukat bait (house dedication). In the shiur, the Rav shlit”a spoke about the obligation of learning the holy Torah, and the greatness of the place “Heichal HaTorah” which affords the possibility of learning with yeshuv da’at.
