About these rallies
Beginning in early 5776 (2016), Rav Eliezer Berland shlit"a issued a series of urgent calls for Am Yisrael to gather at Mearat HaMachpela in Hebron — the burial place of Avraham, Yitzchak, Yaakov, Sarah, Rivka, and Leah — to recite Tehillim, cry out for the protection of the Jewish people, and avert harsh decrees. Thousands answered each call, even when the rallies were held in the middle of the night and required travel to Hebron with all its security implications.

Why Mearat HaMachpela
The Cave of the Patriarchs in Hebron is the second-holiest site in Judaism after the Temple Mount, and is the burial place of the Avos and Imahos — Avraham, Sarah, Yitzchak, Rivka, Yaakov, and Leah. Throughout Jewish history, in moments of great spiritual urgency, our gedolim have called the Jewish people to pray specifically at the gravesites of the Avos, drawing on the merit of our forefathers to bring salvation to their descendants.
Rav Berland\'s rallies at Mearat HaMachpela continue this ancient pattern — and each time, thousands have answered the call, regardless of weather, hour, or travel difficulty.
