Rav Berland’s ‘aliya le’regel’ visit to the Kotel over Pesach
Pesach is one of the three times that the Jews were commanded to ‘go up’ to the Temple each, as part of what was known as aliya le’regel, or ‘ascending by foot’.
Last Thursday at 5pm, shortly before the onset of the 7th day of Pesach, Rav Eliezer Berland, shlita, ‘ascended by foot’ to the Kotel, accompanied by a large crowd of his students and followers. Whilst facing the holy stones, the Rav then started to pray for the welfare of Am Yisrael and Eretz Yisrael.
Below, we’re very happy to share a photo montage of the Rav’s aliya le’regel visit to the Western Wall, the last standing vestige of the second holy Temple. B’ezrat Hashem, may the third and last holy Temple be rebuilt soon.
