Only a short time remains for the campaign to save Hitchadshut Magazine, the only Breslov magazine which publicizes the way of Rav Berland shlit”a, from closing. So far, baruch Hashem, another 280 subscribers have joined; however, in order for the magazine to not shut down, we require another 320 subscribers. One needs to know that Hitchadshut is essential for our Rebbe Rav Eliezer Berland shlit”a, because this is the only thing which truly publicizes the way of Rabbeinu Nachman in the world according to the way that Rav Berland shlit”a wants, as has been handed down from Rabbi Levi Yitzchak Bender zt”l.

Below are Rav Berland’s words about the necessity of taking out a subscription to Hitchadshut:
We have come here to strengthen the matter of “Hitchadshut,” that everyone must sign up subscriptions! It’s forbidden [to allow] the magazine to close! This is the only magazine which speaks about the greatness of Rabbeinu! The only one out of all magazines, of all leaflets, of all weeklies which speaks of the greatness of Rabbeinu. That Rabbeinu is the center point. Rabbeinu is like Choni HaMa’agel who was the center point. That people will know that only through Uman is it possible to be saved from all the decrees, and only this magazine, which speaks of Rabbeinu HaKadosh, which tells living stories every month about miracles and wonders which we have merited to in the merit of our holy and awesome Rebbe, that he lives and endures!
Because Rabbeinu… they call us the “dead Chasidim.” It’s exactly the opposite! We’re the living Tzaddikim! Because Rabbeinu is living and enduring! There never was and never will be [another] like Rabbeinu – all the souls are united by Rabbeinu.
And no publication in the world can explain who is Rabbeinu – only “Hitchadshut”! This is the only publication that we need to fight for with self-sacrifice not to allow it to close!! Despite everyone fighting against this publication – all Breslov is fighting! However, this is the only publication which explains what is the Tzaddik! Who is Rabbeinu! Who is Rabbeinu!!
Rabbi Natan writes: My whole purpose and desire is to be as much as possible at the holy grave [of Rebbe Nachman].
And this we need to explain! This is what Rabbi Levi Yitzchak would always explain: that the first thing is Uman! Before everything! Before everything is only Uman! This was the work of Rabbi Levi Yitzhak. But nobody came to his shiur. We would travel in taxis – six, seven. Someone would pay for all the taxis. Take it at one in the afternoon. We would go out for a break at 1:30 after lunch. We would go out – within an hour, arriving at his house on Rechov Devorah HaNeviah – to Rabbi Levi Yitzchak. We would sit in a shiur for two hours, return at five. The yeshiva was mamash empty. Everyone went to the shiur. Only what we took, we traveled, every taxi had seven new bachurim. And so little by little the matter of Rabbi Levi Yitzchak was introduced. The matter of Rabbi Levi Yitzchak was introduced into Breslov! No one wanted to sit in his shiur. No one wanted to know him at all. They all disputed him. All of them awesome Tzaddikim, all of them holy and pure, but Rabbi Levi Yitzchak was pushed aside into the corner, pushed aside. Everyone hid him. Everyone concealed his light.
He was the greatest light! Such light hadn’t been since the creation of the world, what Rabbi Levi Yitzchak was!! No one knows this light – they don’t know!
The same thing, people don’t recognize what is “Hitchadshut!! They don’t recognize that everyone wants to conceal this publication! But they won’t conceal it! Because this is the only publication which speaks about the greatness of Rabbeinu, which speaks about how they travelled to Rabbeinu.
People today don’t know what Breslov is! One says [that it’s] to jump on the tables… One says [that it’s] to jump on the stands… Breslov is something else entirely — entirely!! This isn’t what people imagine in their imaginations! Anyone who didn’t sit with Rabbi Levi Yitzchak twenty years can’t know what Breslov is at all! They can’t give over the matter of Rabbeinu! So only the publication “Hitchadshut” gives over the matter of Rabbeinu! This is only this publication! And people want to conceal it, but they won’t conceal it! Because everyone now is joining forces with this publication. Everyone is going with this publication – the only publication which explains what is Rabbeinu, which explains the way of Rabbi Levi Yitzchak!
Each person should buy “Hitchadshut,” and sign up as many friends, relatives, uncles, and aunts. And in the merit of this, “Hitchadshut” will be able to exist, because this is the only publication which publicizes Rabbeinu, Uman, and the way of Rabbi Levi Yitzchak, which is the true way of learning Gemara! Amen, Hashem be with you!
