The Secret of “Jerusalem is the Crown amongst the Crowns”
Jerusalem, the secret of “the expanse at the approach to Chamat — Rechov Levo Chamat” — the initial lettrs of RaCheL. The secret of, “Where you lodge, I will lodge, and where you go, I will go, and where you die, I will die, and there I will be buried” (according to Ruth 1:16-17).
Because the secret of Jerusalem: “The name of the man is Elimelech” (ibid. 2) — that he is included in the King Who reins over kings, the Holy One Blessed is He. For Hashem showed to Moshe each generation and its judges, each generation and its kings, each generation and its prophets, each generation and its leaders, its robbers and its oppressors.
For in Jerusalem, we merit to Adam Kadmon of Adam Kadmon, which is the supernal pleasantness which we merit to when getting out of the all husks, as is written (Tehilim 125:2): “Jerusalem, mountains surround her” — these are the husks which surround Jerusalem.
