The Secret of “The Sound of Joy and the Sound of Gladness…” — Daily Ma’amar

The Daily Ma’amar by our Rebbe Rav Eliezer Berland shlit”a, from Tuesday 3 Sivan 5783, courtesy of the “Hashem Hu HaElokim” leaflet:

The secret of “The sound of joy and the sound of gladness, the sound of groom and the sound of bride,” the secret of “on the day of his wedding” — this is the giving of the Torah, “and on the day of his heart’s bliss” — this is the building of the Holy Temple

For the giving of the Torah is the marriage between the Holy One Blessed is He and the Jewish people, in the merit of three Forefathers who are included in the Seven Shepherds [=Avraham Yitzchak Yaakov Moshe Aharon Yosef David], and in the merit of Sarah Rivka Rachel Leah, the numerical value of “I am Hashem your God Who brought you out from the land of Egypt, from the house of slaves” = 2495.

And the Tablets are the wedding contract, because the Holy One Blessed is He = that He is the groom, He is the letter Yud in the name Havayah, and the bride — that she is the Jewish people, she is the final letter Heh in the name Havayah.

And this is the secret of “The sound of joy and the sound of gladness, the sound of groom and the sound of bride, the sound of people saying, ‘Praise Hashem, Master of Legions, for Hashem is good, for His mercy is forever,’ bringing thanksgiving offerings to the Temple of Hashem” (Yirmiyahu 33:11), for the giving of the Torah is the true thanksgiving offering, that it is eaten only day and night until Chatzot (halachic midnight), because the main revelation of the giving of the Torah every single day is at Chatzot Layla, that then the giving of the Torah is revealed anew!  And it is possible at every Chatzot Layla to hear from anew all Ten Commandments: “I am Hashem your God…  You shall not have other gods before Me” (Shemot 20:2).
