After the Shacharit prayer and public reading of the Megilah, our Rebbe Rav Eliezer Berland shlit”a entered his home at 11 am for the Purim meal with the participation of the Admor of Spinka shlit”a.
Rav Berland shlit”a began the banquet with the fulfillment of the mitzvah of the day – drinking a glass of wine, together with the Rebbe, beforehand having said the “traditional kiddush” of Purim with words of humor.
After the drinking, he distributed to the participants “L’Chaim,” and begin giving over a fiery shiur of over a half-hour about the greatness of the days of Purim and the story of the Megilah, amidst giving over awesome and novel insights in the secrets and inner meaning of the story of the Megialh and the level of the day of Purim, in an aspect of “wine goes in, the secret comes out.”
Afterwards, the Rav arose with great simcha and holy fervor, beginning to sing and dance together with the Rebbe and the participants at length, dancing around his pure table, and giving out blessings on all those around him and the descendants of the Rebbe who came to be blessed, and likewise Hareidi standup comedian Rav Aba Twersky received the blessing of Rav Berland shlit”a.
After over an hour of the wine banquet, the Rav continued with the rest of the avodah of the holy day.
