The Daily Chizzuk by our Rebbe, Rav Eliezer Berland shlit”a — “Only when you fall to the floor do you find the diamond.” From the story of the Cripple in Sipurey Ma’asiot of Rabbeinu HaKadosh Rebbe Nachman of Breslov zya”a.
Wednesday, 20 Adar Bet 5782
These are his holy words:
The murderers plundered him of the chest with the silver. He was a cripple, unfortunate. Then he fell from the wagon.
The young [assistant] fled from him, the wagon driver fled. Then he needed to crawl on the ground, and he crawled and he crawled.
Every time he tasted a grass. So he ate grass and [more] grass.
Suddenly, he uprooted grass and saw a diamond.
Only when a person is already on the ground, crawls on the ground, they took from him the chest with the silver. They stole from him everything; didn’t leave him a penny.
From every direction, he’s only victimized and robbed — only then will he find the diamond.
Only then, when he falls, will he find the diamond.
They gave him to drink when they bound heaven and earth.
