Where is the Main Place of Hashem’s Dwelling? – Rabbi Eliezer Berland Shlit”a

Why and How did Moshe Rabbeinu merit to what he did?

Where is the place where all the Mochin are received?

The holy words of Moreinu HaRav Eliezer Berland shlit”a:

The Megaleh Amukot on page 112 explains that Moshe is ten times [the expansion of the Tetragrammaton with the letter Alef, whose numerical value is] MaH [45].  [MaH is the Name representing nullification and humility].

Moshe with the two Heh’s: Mem [מ”מ] – Shin [שי”ן] – Heh [ה”ה].  Mem [when spelled out is the numerical value of] 80, Shin is 360, together [80 plus 360] it is exactly 440.  And another two Heh’s is 10.  Altogether this is 450.

450 is ten times MaH [45].  This is what the Megaleh Amukot says, that Moshe is ten times MaH.

Moshe merited to be ten times MaH, because when they insulted him, [when they] wanted to stone him – four times they wanted to stone him; they only sought to stone Moshe — Moshe accepted everything with love.  He did not complain; he did not blame them.  [He gave them the benefit of the doubt and said]: They are the most righteous, the holiest.

Because Moshe is ten times MaH, he truly merited to be MaH.

In the Land of Israel are all the Mochin [intellects], the most expanded [consciousness].  Here in the Land of Israel, we receive all the Mochin.  It’s forbidden for a person to live outside Jerusalem.

In Jerusalem are all the Mochin: “Blessed is Hashem from Zion, He Who dwells in Jerusalem, Halleluyah!” (Tehilim 135:21).  Hashem only dwells in Jerusalem.

Because this is what the Rambam brings – “Who dwells in Jerusalem, Halleluyah” – Hashem is found only in Jerusalem.  Someone who was born in another place, [so he] was born [in another place], but someone who was not born [in another place], it’s forbidden for him to leave Jerusalem.  Even if he does not have food, even if he lives in a basement, even if he lives underground, it makes no difference – you don’t leave Jerusalem.  “Who dwells in Jerusalem, Halleluyah.”

Now they are firing missiles all over Israel except over Jerusalem.  Jerusalem is exactly in the middle between Gaza and the Lebanese border.  Therefore, when they fire from Gaza in the direction of Jerusalem, it only reaches as far as Beit Shemesh.
