The Daily Chizzuk of our Rebbe, the Gaon and Tzaddik, Rav Eliezer Berland shlit”a – “Whoever believes and learns Gemara in Jerusalem will be saved from the atomic bomb.”
Monday, 14 Sivan 5782
These are his holy words:
Now I read a book about Rabbi Yeshaya of Kerestir. A child by the name of Yitzchak Shwartz appeared before him – he was lying wounded on the snow. Rabbi Yeshaya said to him: “I’m watching over you. Your grandfather served me faithfully; now I’m watching over you.” He told his grandfather thirty years before the Holocaust…, “Now there’s going to be a Holocaust. Whoever holds fast in faith will be saved.”
So the Divine service is to strengthen one’s self in faith in the tzaddik. Whoever goes with the tzaddik, then nothing can happen to him – terrorists, bombs. If Iran launches an atomic bomb – whoever believes, it will turn into candies.
If an atomic bomb falls here, then it will turn into candies.
[The Rav’s words below are based on the beginning of Daniel chapter 8, quoted here:
“I saw in the vision that I was at the Ulai Stream. I raised my eyes and looked, and behold! A ram is standing before the stream, and it has horns. The horns are high, but one is higher than the other, and the higher one is coming up last. I saw the ram goring westward, northward, and southward, and no beasts could stand before it, nor could anyone rescue from its hand. It did as it pleased, and it grew.
“I was contemplating and behold! A he-goat comes from the west, across the surface of the entire earth, but not touching the ground; and the he-goat has a conspicuous horn between its eyes. It came to the horned ram that I had seen standing before the stream, and ran at it with the fury of its might. I saw it reach the ram; it fought bitterly with it, and smote the ram, and broke its two horns.”]
Rav Berland: Now Iran – it’s written in Daniel regarding the King of Persia [today Iran]: I saw the King of Persia, that the King of Persia will rule over the entire world, conquer the entire world, but only one who studies Gemara in Jerusalem can push him away.
It’s written in Daniel that the King of Persia will rule; the King of Persia will come and he will rule over the entire world. He will have an atomic bomb, and they will be thrown on all the nations.
Daniel said: I saw the King of Persia come, and I raised up my eyes and saw a single ram before the stream.
It has horns. It has horns, and the horns are high, and one is higher than the other, and the higher one is coming up last.
I saw the ram gore to the west – he will conquer – westward and northward. The north side is the Artic Sea. And southward, even southward, and no beasts could stand before it, and there is no savior from its hand, and it did as it pleases, and it grew.
And he will succeed in conquering the entire world. I was contemplating – I look at this sight, at this vision.
And he saw in a dream – and behold a he-goat. Suddenly a he-goat arrives… this is a male goat. And it gores westward and northward and southward, but it doesn’t touch the ground. He doesn’t touch the earth. He hovers over the earth and conquers the entire world.
A conspicuous horn between its eyes. It has a horn between its eyes. And the he-goat…a male. A ram is a male, and it came until the horned ram. The horned ram is the King of Persia, and he will conquer the entire world, the King of Persia.
The horned [ram] which I saw stood before the stream. The stream is the river which passes through there, in Persia. It ran at it with the fury of its might – now it is going to gore it, and it has horns. Like Rabbi Chanina ben Dosa, that here was an argument between the shepherd and the employer.
