The Daily Chizzuk of our Rebbe, the Gaon and Tzaddik, Rav Eliezer Berland shlit”a – “A person needs to create the dawn”
Sunday, 26 Cheshvan 5783 – “The entire matter of Rabbeinu is nothingness”
These are his holy words:
Hashem says, what more miracles you shall have! Still greater miracles! “The sun in Givon be silent, and the moon in the valley of Ayalon” (Yehoshua 10:12) – you will have endless miracles.
Like Iyov who lived 140 years. After seventy years, Hashem says to him: “Did you teach? Did you teach the dawn? Did you teach the dawn its place?
Because a person who rises in the morning creates the dawn [the first law in the Shulchan Aruch is “Overcome like a lion to rise in the morning to the service of the Creator, that one should awaken the dawn” (Orach Chaim 1:1)] – a person needs to create the dawn.
You create the dawn. A person rises Chatzot – he creates the dawn. A person needs to create the dawn, to create the sun. This isn’t the same sun [every day a new sun is created].
It’s not… scientists think that it’s the same sun – “all who are wise of heart” (Shemot 28:3). Hashem hears the wise of heart. All the scientists are absolutely nothing. They never even saw the sun. Every day there is a new sun, a new moon.
The moon says a song, the sun says a song – “sun in Givon be silent, and the moon in the valley of Ayalon.”
From where (ayin) are you? A person needs to be ayin (nothingness). The entire matter of Rabbeinu is to be nothingness.
When Rabbeinu made Kiddush, he was nothingness. Every Maariv prayer he was nothingness.
