"And When the Turn Came for Esther, Daughter of Avichayil, Uncle of Mordechai"

Our teacher, the holy tzaddik, Rav Eliezer Berland shlit"a, in a moving call to the public, with the special melody of the Megillah and the enchanting voice of the tzaddik: "And when the turn of Esther, the daughter of Avichail, the uncle of Mordechai, had come, who had taken her for his daughter, to go in unto the king, she required nothing but what Hegai the king's chamberlain, the keeper of the women, appointed; and Esther obtained favor in the sight of all them that looked upon her" (Esther 2:15).

"Here we learn that every time it was Esther's turn, she would cast herself to the ground; that is how she cast the demons out of herself and sent them to Ahasuerus. The Tosafot says that the entire decree, 'And he sent letters into all the king's provinces, into every province according to the writing thereof, and to every people after their language, that every man should bear rule in his own house, and speak according to the language of his people' (ibid. 1:22)—the moment they saw this, they said that he was a foolish king, that 'every man should bear rule in his own house'..."
