The Tzaddik Decrees And Hashem Fulfills

The strength of the tzaddikim is to act. Like Chazal says, “this teaches us that Hashem gives his leadership to the tzaddikim”. The next story happened in the year of 5768. A child riding on a bicycle got hit by a car and was badly injured. They rushed him to the hospital. The doctors told the parents that the child only had a few days to live. “The boy won’t be able to continue to live like this for very long.” They said, “his body systems are collapsing. Nothing is working the way it is supposed to.”

The boy belonged to the family of one of the Rav’s students. The student jumped up and rushed to the Rav’s house to tell to the Rav what had happened and about the child’s serious condition.

The Rav listened and said, “please bring the child to me!”

The student didn’t delay. He traveled to the hospital and told to the family members that the Rav wished to see the child right away.

The parents wanted to take the child to the Rav. The doctors became furious. “To take him from the hospital when he is sick like this?! This is a danger to his life!” However the parents stood by their request. The doctors did not have any choice. The child was sedated and put into an ambulance. Together with a medical crew, the ambulance drove directly to the Rav’s house near Homah Shlishit Street in Jerusalem.

The child’s bed was placed in a large hall next to the Rav’s house. The Rav came out from his house, entered the hall, and asked the people in there to go outside. Everyone did what the Rav asked and the Rav closed the door behind him and he remained alone with the child. After a number of minutes a miracle happened. The child’s mother, who was standing on the other side of the door listening, heard her son’s voice. He was talking with the Rav and answering questions.

“Is it possible?!” The mother almost fainted. “The boy was laying in bed unconscious! And now suddenly he is talking with the Rav?!” However it was not a dream. It was a clear and simple reality. The tzaddik decrees and Hashem fulfills.

After a few minutes the Rav opened the door and the people entered. The child was sitting up on his bed. Weakness showed on his face, but his eyes were open and he was fully conscious and alert.

After a short time, the child healed completely and left the hospital, to the astonishment of the doctors, who had thought that his days were over.
