Prayer for Days of Shovavim by Rabbi Eliezer Berland Shlit"a

THESE SIX WEEKS OF PARASHAS SHEMOT, VA'ERA, BO, BESHELACH, YITRO, AND MISHPATIM ARE THE DAYS OF SHOVAVIM.

As is known, the days of Shovavim are especially favorable for rectifying one's holiness.  Moreinu HaRav Eliezer Berland shlit"a has said for decades that the main rectification for Pagam HaBrit (blemishing the covenant) is in-depth Gemara learning.  A number of days ago, the Rav shlit"a wrote a new prayer for the days of Shovavim that empathizes the importance of learning Gemara and the connection to the days of Shovavim.

SHOVAVIM AND LEARNING TORAH

Ribbono Shel Olam -- Master of the World, Who can do everything, and that nothing can impede [Your] purpose from You, in the merit of Shovavim, give me the merit to learn 8 hours of Gemara every single day, until the end of my life, and that I should know all Shas by memory, word-for-word, letter-for-letter, in depth and breadth, forward and backwards.
