Saving Lives, a Must to See and Distribute

The holy Gaon and Tzaddik, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a (may he live long and good days), publicly warns of a terrible Holocaust that, Heaven forbid, is destined to come. However, the Tzaddik (holy man) has established a special study schedule in order to be saved from this terrible decree of destruction.

These are his holy words as they appeared in one of the prayers for success in the study schedule:

"One must study 8 pages of Gemara (Talmud) and 5 chapters of Rambam (Maimonides' Mishneh Torah), because a terrible Holocaust is coming, and whoever adheres to the aforementioned holy schedule will be saved."

Rabbi Berland shlit"a established strengthening prayers in order to merit and fulfill the study schedule he instituted.

Many have taken it upon themselves to keep the study schedule established by Rabbi Berland shlit"a—to be saved from the Holocaust. In a public gathering, a Siyum (completion ceremony) was held for Tractate Berachos, the first of the tractates of the Shas (the six orders of the Talmud). At that time, the Rav explained that by the next yahrtzeit (anniversary of passing) of Rebbe Nachman, which falls during Chol HaMoed Succos (the intermediate days of the Festival of Booths), a ceremony for the completion of the entire Shas will be held, along with the Rambam.

The holy Rabbi Berland shlit"a added a study schedule for protection for the children and women of the family; these are his holy words: "The children, the holy flock, who are below the age of Bar Mitzvah, should study 5 chapters of Mishnayos (the Oral Law), one chapter of Rambam, and 2 chapters of Nevi'im (Prophets). The women should recite one section from the five books of Tehillim (Psalms)."

After people approached us with the question of whether this obligation applies to everyone—Yeshiva students, Kollel students, etc.—we clarified the matter with one of the community's rabbis, a veteran Torah scholar and student of our teacher, Rabbi Berland shlit"a. His answer was that the Rav shlit"a intends in his words that everyone should do according to their strength, "whether one does much or one does little, as long as he directs his heart to Heaven."
