#1366 Rabbi Berland’s Prayer For The Victory Of Light Of Darkness
Master of the world, “the flask of oil will not be lacking”, in the merit of the Chanuka candles that shine like the sun, like sapphires, and in the merit of the seven branches, there will be for you seventy nations, and they will go with the light of the seven candles, all seventy nations.
And Jerusalem will shine with the light of the stones of the kadkod (Jacinth), that is drawn down from the light of the holy Matriarchs, and in the merit of Yehudit who cut off the head of the enemy, we will excise also today the enemies and those that cause harm.
And in the merit of Esther and Mordechai, the numerical value of Mattityahu and his sons, who fight our wars in every generation anew, with Antiochus and Titus, Nikanor and Aspasianus, and with the sword of Apolonius, and the threshing floor of Aravna, we will build the sanctuary of the Mikdash.
And the third Temple with the appearance of three-fold fire, will be built speedily in the beautiful Jerusalem, and the lights of Hanukah will bring closer the redemption, and then the great shofar will sound.
And the pure Menorah in the sanctuary of the Mikdash will renew, and then it will shine with the seven branches, and the seventy nations will bow and prostrate themselves to the ground.
And all the nations in the Beit HaMikdash will pray, and there will be fulfilled the verse, “and I will bring them to my holy mountain, and I will place them in my house of prayer, because My house will be called a house of prayer for all the nations”.
