Rabbi Berland’s Prayer To Have Success in Studies and Exams

TO MERIT SUCCESS IN STUDIES
Master of the world, Who can do anything, grant me in the merit of the month of Elul, which is the entrance to the new year, ‘the mazal/constellation of Virgo’ which indicates new birth, to be formed anew, may I merit to succeed in my studies, and to know Shas forwards and backwards, in overview and in depth, word for word, letter for letter.
And may I not be lacking in any letter from Shas G-d forbid, and not from Ketzot HaChoshen, and not from Netivot HaMishpat, and not from the Urim and Turim, and not from Takfo Cohen, and not from the holy Rambam, and not from the Shulchan Aruch, and not from the Tur, Rosh, Rif, Rashba, Ramban, Ritva, Meiri and all the commentaries in the world.
And may I merit to learn them all in truth and for the sake of heaven, for the sake of the holy and pure Torah, for the sake of the revelation of the light of truth in the world and the light of the Tzaddik in the world.
And in the merit of learning the holy Torah, and in the merit that I will succeed in all the tests in the world, and I will learn Torah day and night = 177, twenty four hours without pause for a moment or second, I will enter with my body into Gan Eden = 177, like Serach the daughter of Asher = 1411.
And through this may I merit to subdue the eleven chiefs of Esan, and that I will have no materiality, and through this, “and it will be turned around that which (501) the Jews (80) will rule (355) over (50) their enemies (414)” = 1411.
And in the merit of learning the holy Torah 24 hours without pause for a second, may I merit to ride and to gallop on 1464 lions, like the soul (790) of Daniel (95) the charming (464) man (311) = 1659, the secret of “and the lost ones came (9) from the land of Ashur and the distanced ones from the land of Egypt and they bowed to Hashem who is One (1) in Jerusalem”.
And in the merit of this, may the spirit of Moshiach ben David rest upon me, like it says, “and the spirit of Hashem rested on him, the spirit of wisdom (73), understanding (73), the spirit of advice (165), bravery (222), the spirit of knowledge (474) and the fear (617) of G-d (26)” = 1659.

De mériter la réussite dans les études
Maître du monde, Qui peut tout faire, accorde-moi par le mérite du mois d’Elloul, qui est l’entrée de la nouvelle année, ‘le mazal/constellation de la Vierge’ qu’indique une nouvelle naissance, d’être formé à nouveau, puis-je mériter de réussir dans mes études, et de connaître le Shas en avant et en arrière, dans l’ensemble et en profondeur, mot à mot, lettre par lettre.
Et puis-je ne pas manquer aucune lettre du Shas, D.ieu nous en garde, et non plus du Ketzot Ha’Hochen, et ni du Nétivot HaMishpat, et ni du Ourim véTourim, et ni du Takfo Cohen, et ni du saint Rambam, et ni du Choul’han ‘Aroukh, et ni du Tour, Roch, Rif, Rashba, Ramban, Ritva, Meiri, et tous les commentaires dans le monde.
Et puis-je mériter de les apprendre en vérité et pour la gloire des cieux, pour la gloire de la Sainte et Pure Torah, pour la gloire de la révélation de la lumière de la vérité dans le monde et la lumière du Tzaddik dans le monde.
Et par le mérite d’apprendre la Sainte Torah, et par le mérite que je réussirai dans tous les tests dans le monde, et j’apprendrai la Torah jour et nuit = 177, 24 heures sans pause pour un moment et seconde, j’entrerai avec mon corps au Gan Éden = 177, comme Sera’h bat Asher = 1411.
Et à travers ceci puis-je mériter de soumettre les 11 chefs d’Essav, et que je n’aurai pas de matérialité, et par ceci, « et ça sera retourné ce que (501) les Juifs (80) gouverneront (355) sur (50) leurs ennemis (414) » = 1411.
Et par le mérite de l’apprentissage de la Torah 24 heures sans pause pour une seconde, puis-je mériter de chevaucher et de galoper sur les 1464 lions, comme l’âme (790) de Daniel (95) l’homme (311) charmant (464) = 1659, le secret de « les égarés venaient (9) de la terre d’Achour et les distancés de la terre d’Égypte et ils s’inclinaient devant Hashem Qui est Un (1) à Yéroushalayim ».
Et par le mérite de ceci, puisse l’esprit de Machia’h ben David se reposer sur moi, comme c’est dit, « et l’esprit d’Hashem se reposa sur lui, l’esprit de sagesse (73), compréhension (73), l’esprit de conseil (165), bravoure (222), l’esprit de connaissance (474) et la crainte (617) de D.ieu (26) » = 1659.
