#144 Prayer to have good thoughts before sleep

#144: RABBI BERLAND'S PRAYER TO HAVE GOOD THOUGHTS BEFORE SLEEP

MASTER OF THE WORLD, GRANT ME GOOD THOUGHTS BEFORE I GO TO SLEEP AND OPEN UP FOR ME ALL THE HEAVENLY STRUCTURES.

Like it says, “the heavens (395) were opened (544) and I saw (213) the appearance (647) of G-d (86) = 1885”.

And may I fall asleep with a holy book in my hand, and only think thoughts of how to love You, and how to serve You day (96) and night (86) = 177, without pause for a second.

Like it says, “a fire (301) was constantly (454) burning (510) on (100) the altar (62) it was never (31) extinguished (427) = 1885”. And through this may I merit to enter into Gan (53) Eden (124) = 177 with my body, like Serach (508) the daughter of (402) Asher (501) = 1411.

And in the merit of sleeping with holy thoughts, fulfill in me the verse,

> “and it was turned around so that (501) the Jews (50) ruled (355) over (50) their enemies (414)” and may I subdue the eleven (11) chiefs of Esav = 1411.

רִבּוֹנוֹ שֶׁל עוֹלָם, תְּזַכֶּה אוֹתִי לְמַּחֲשָׁבוֹת טוֹבוֹת לִפְנֵי הַשֵּׁנָה. וְתִפְתַּח לִי אֶת כָּל מַעֲרָכוֹת הַשָּׁמַיִם, כְּמוֹ שֶׁנֶּאֱמַר "נִפְתְּחוּ 544 הַשָּׁמַיִם 395 וָאֶרְאֶה 213 מַרְאוֹת 647 אֱלוֹקִים" 86 = 1885. וְאֵרָדֵם עִם סֵפֶר קָדוֹשׁ בַּיָּד, וְרַק אֶחֱשׁוֹב מַחֲשָׁבוֹת אֵיךְ לְאֱהוֹב אוֹתְךָ, וְאֵיךְ לַעֲבוֹד אוֹתְךָ יוֹמָם 96 וָלַיְלָה 86 = 177 לְלֹא הֶפְסֵק שְׁנִיָּה, כְּמוֹ שֶׁנֶּאֱמַר "אֵשׁ 301 תָּמִיד 454 תּוּקַד 510 עַל 100 הַמִּזְבֵּחַ 62 לֹא 31 תִכְבֶּה" 427 = 1885, וְעַל יְדֵי זֶה אֶזְכֶּה לְהִכָּנֵס עִם גּוּפִי לְ-גַן 53 עֵדֶן 124 = 177 כְּמוֹ שֶׂרַח 508 בַּת 402 אָשֵׁר 501 = 1411, וּבִזְכוּת שֶׁאִישַׁן עִם מַחֲשָׁבוֹת קְדוֹשׁוֹת, וְיִתְקַיֵּם בִּי הַפָּסוּק "וְנַהֲפוֹךְ הוּא אֲשֶׁר 501 יִשְׁלְטוּ 355 הַיְהוּדִים 80 הֵמָּה 50 בְּשׂוֹנְאֵיהֶם" 414, וְאֲכְנִיעַ י"א 11 אַלּוּפֵי עֵשָׂו = 1411
