A Chilling and Rare Testimony of the Nadvorna Rebbe zt"l Regarding Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a

A chilling and rare testimony from the holy Admor, Rabbi Yaakov Yissachar Ber of Nadvorna, author of the "Be'er Yaakov" zt"l, who foresaw with his Ruach HaKodesh (Divine Spirit) openly 40 years ago the persecutions and libels that would occur in our days against The Rav, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a. These words are brought to us by a messenger who received them from one of the most famous Mashgichim (spiritual supervisors) in the Yeshiva world in Bnei Brak today, who was very close to the Admor zt"l. These are his moving words.
"Greetings and blessings to all the listeners who are holding strong with the Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a ben Ettia, who is bound [in sacrifice] for Kiddush Hashem (Sanctification of God's Name) at every moment. I want to share with you things that the Admor Rabbi Yissachar Ber ben Rav Chaim Mordechai of Nadvorna foresaw with his Ruach HaKodesh regarding Rabbi Berland shlit"a."

This was after he saw how terrible the libel and persecution against Rabbi Berland shlit"a has become. 'Publicize these words until they make a noise from one end of the world to the other,' requested the conveyor of the report from me."
"When Rabbi Berland shlit"a lived in Bnei Brak, they were looking at that time for families to host Jews who were drawing closer to Judaism. Naturally, Rabbi Berland suggested that avreichim (married Torah students) from his yeshiva, 'Shuvu Banim', should host them. After a period in which the avreichim hosted those drawing closer, a rumor spread claiming, allegedly, that those guests were not speaking or behaving appropriately. Matters reached a point where there were people who wanted to stop their hosting and even expel them from Bnei Brak."
"The matters reached the Nadvorna Rebbe zt"l and another very great and famous Admor; they achieved control over the situation. Three weeks later, Rabbi Berland shlit"a left Bnei Brak."
"A short time later, that same chassid approached the Nadvorna Rebbe zt"l and spoke with him about various matters, when suddenly the Admor approached him and began to whisper in his ear. 'Know that if one day you hear bad rumors about Rav Leizer (Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a), words of disgrace, and they attribute all kinds of harsh words and libels to him—know that it is all a complete lie; do not believe a single thing'."
"That chassid did not initially understand the intention of the Nadvorna Rebbe zt"l, so he immediately asked him what he meant."
"The Nadvorna Rebbe zt"l answered him—'A silent pact [a hidden spiritual agreement]'."
"It is known that the Nadvorna Rebbe zt"l, by virtue of his greatness in Torah, his holiness, and his abstinence, was already famous in his youth as a possessor of great miracles and Ruach HaKodesh. However, the story only begins here, because when that chassid told me the words of the Nadvorna Rebbe zt"l regarding Rabbi Berland shlit"a, he was in the middle of the Melaveh Malkah seudah (meal escorting the Sabbath). Thus, while he was telling me this, I heard a murmur from the people who were around him at the meal."
"It turns out that on the Shabbos of Parashat Ki Tisa, two Jews from America were staying with the chassid: his brother and another great gvir (wealthy philanthropist) from America. Now, they heard the things he was telling me on the phone. And when I called him a second time to clarify a few details that were not clear to me at first, he said to me as follows: 'Look at this Divine Providence! The philanthropist and my brother are almost dancing here."
"This is what the philanthropist told him: 'I have been supporting Rabbi Berland's yeshiva for many years, and despite all the false publications against him, I did not stop my support for a moment. Now I feel the hand of Divine Providence, because on my part, I did not think at all to share with my host my thoughts regarding the donation I am making, and he suddenly strengthens my heart that I did the right thing by not stopping my contribution."
"The chassid continues to relate that his brother's wife, who is currently in America, is also a regular donor to the 'Shuvu Banim' yeshiva, and she too heard about all the persecution—and the matter pains her greatly. Although she refuses absolutely to believe the things said, she always has an inner desire for the truth to be revealed to all. My brother said to me, 'Now I am calling my wife and telling her about the Ruach HaKodesh of the Nadvorna Rebbe zt"l; she will be very happy to hear about this'."
