A Collection of New Prayers from Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a Regarding Matters of Faith and the Weekly Torah Portion

A collection of new and inspiring prayers for holiness from our teacher, Rabbi Berland shlit"a, speaking of matters of Emunah (faith) and the weekly Torah portion.

A prayer for zerizus (alacrity) in every holy matter—speaking of the merit to be a pioneer before Hashem and to merit fulfilling all the mitzvos (commandments) with great desire and alacrity, both in rising in the morning and in every holy matter, and that I shall always guard and protect my eyes like guarding the most precious diamond in the world.

A prayer for Hisbodedus (personal prayer), thanks, and gratitude—speaking of the merit to guard everything that comes out of my mouth, and that I should be significant, balanced, and measured like the stones of the Choshen (the High Priest's breastplate), and that I should increase in Hisbodedus with thanks and gratitude, and merit the forgiveness of sins and joy like on Yom Kippur (the Day of Atonement).

A prayer to be a good, healthy, and strong husband (or wife)—speaking of the merit to honor my wife properly and to see the splendor of her glory and the beauty of her wisdom, and that I should listen to her advice and always be strong and healthy like Shimshon HaGibor (Samson the Hero).

A prayer regarding the war of Midian, where the Jewish soldiers blackened the faces of the women—speaking of the merit to be like the soldiers of Israel and to guard the tzniut (modesty) of the People of Israel, so that we may be saved from the three severe sins (idolatry, forbidden relations, and murder) and that there shall be no plague among the People of Israel, Heaven forbid.
