A Group of Daf Yomi Learners in a Shiur with Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a

The Daf Yomi Shiur in Our Beis Midrash ○ A Summary from the Shiur, from Within the Inner Sanctum
Each day in our Beis Midrash, more than a minyan of avreichim—talmidei chachamim—gather to learn the Daf Yomi with clarity and with depth in the sugyos. The shiur is delivered every morning by the distinguished son-in-law of the Nasi, the chassidic Rav R’ Natan Rubinstein shlit"a, who explains the sugyos of Shas studied in the Daf Yomi with fine taste and understanding, adding his own special insight to each sugya.
This group merited to enter “the inner sanctum” this past Wednesday, the 20th of Kislev, in the afternoon, for a special shiur from The Rav, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a, in his holy residence. At the beginning of the shiur, The Rav shlit"a spoke about the questions that the wicked Turnus Rufus asked Rabbi Akiva. After that, he spoke about how Rabbi Avraham ben Rabbi Nachman said that if they would not go up to Eretz Yisrael, no trace would remain—and so it was. He spoke at length about the greatness of Eretz Yisrael. After that, he spoke about Lot’s wife—that she brought the entire city, and therefore she was turned into a pillar of salt. After that, he spoke about Chanukah, which is rooted in the sefirah of Netzach, and he spoke about how Channah prophesied seven hundred and sixty-four years beforehand about the miracles that would take place on Chanukah. He spoke about the secret of the flask of oil that is revealed on Chanukah. After that, he spoke about the location of the Beis HaMikdash—that if it had been written explicitly that the Beis HaMikdash is in Yerushalayim, no tribe would have agreed to the division. After that, he concluded with matters of Chanukah: that during Chanukah the Beis HaMikdash of fire descends, all the gates of prophecy are opened, and on Chanukah no trace will remain of all the nations—may their name be erased.
After forty minutes of a fiery, blazing shiur, one of the avreichim recited the Kaddish for completing the masechta, and The Rav shlit"a blessed everyone.
