A Hidden Tzaddik Who Foretold the Meron Tragedy Reveals How to Be Saved in the
Future

An amazing testimony from a Jew named R' Yisrael Meir who met a hidden tzaddik in the forests of Meron who foresaw the Meron disaster before it happened, and also revealed how it will be possible to be saved from decrees, G-d forbid, that may come.
Before the disaster in Meron, there was a Jew who met one of the hidden tzaddikim who foresaw the disaster in Meron; this is the testimony of R' Yisrael Meir:
"I went to hitbodedut (secluded prayer) and prepare for Lag B'Omer, and I saw a Jew crying while reciting the Tikkun HaKlali"
"I arrived for Lag B'Omer in Meron, as it is known that this time is not simple; it is one of the highest moments, the revelation of the true tzaddik, therefore I needed to go to the field to do hitbodedut, to prepare... In the field, I saw a Jew holding a Tikkun HaKlali and saying it word for word, and tears were pouring from his eyes like a faucet; I had never seen such a recitation of Tehillim (Psalms)."
"I continued to do hitbodedut on the mountain. After half an hour, I saw him still saying the Tikkun HaKlali and crying; apparently, he had said quite a few. After an hour, he was still saying the Tikkun HaKlali and crying; one does not see such things. I did more hitbodedut and asked Hashem to merit speaking with this tzaddik. I asked Hashem to merit speaking with him, and suddenly, after about a quarter of an hour, that same person approached me and called me by my name, Yisrael Meir."
"One must pray that Rav Berland arrives in Meron"
"I asked him how he knew my name. He answered that he knows, it is fine; you prayed that you wanted to speak with me, here in Heaven they accepted your prayer. I was moved and asked him what one needs to pray for now in Meron? He answered: 'We need to pray that Rav Berland arrives in Meron.'"
"Did he know that you are a chassid of Rav Berland? No, I didn't tell him anything; he said it himself! I asked him where he knows Rav Berland from? He said that he doesn't know him personally, but they have a spiritual connection."
"How does one merit saying the Tikkun HaKlali like that?"
"I asked, how does one merit saying such a Tikkun HaKlali with tears like him?"
"He answered: 'If you knew what was going to happen here in a few hours, you too would cry like this.' I asked, what is going to happen? He did not answer, only saying, 'If you knew what was going to happen here, you too would cry like this.'"
"I asked: 'What can be done?'"
"He answered: 'If Rav Berland comes here, everything will be fine!'"
"In retrospect, it turned out that when he was saying the Tikkun HaKlali, it was in the field facing the site of the disaster."
"All the tzaddikim pray for Rav Berland every day"
"He said that he prays for Rav Berland, and likewise all the hidden tzaddikim pray for him every day. And he added: 'In Heaven, they declare every day that he is the tzaddik of the generation. Every generation has a tzaddik in the aspect of Moshe, and there are other tzaddikim as well.'"
"He said: 'The hidden tzaddikim say the Tikkun HaKlali several times every day for the success of Rav Berland, and if all of the Jewish people would join in the prayers, they could sweeten all the judgments that exist and prevent endless tears from Israel, because Rav Berland fights above in Heaven with all his strength for the sake of the Jewish people.'"
"He spoke about the importance of saying the Tikkun HaKlali at least once for Rav Berland every day, and whoever can should say as much as possible. In Heaven, this is considered one of the most sublime things—those who pray for Rav Berland. After all, King David asked Hashem that his recitation of Tehillim be considered as the study of [the tractates of] Nega'im and Ohalot, because Nega'im and Ohalot are considered the deepest tractates, and all the more so if a person does not pray for himself but for the tzaddik, that is already something completely different."
"A great merit to pray together for Rav Berland"
"If everyone gathers together to pray, then each one multiplies the others, just as Rebbe Nachman revealed the secret of the combination of houses; this prayer is completely different. When a person prays with other people, it multiplies by billions."
"He said that Mashiach is already with us in this world and is performing enormous actions; meanwhile, it is hidden until the time of revelation arrives. The tzaddikim know who it is and know that Mashiach is acting."
"The secret of prayer for Mashiach"
"There is a secret among the hidden tzaddikim, but because we are close to his arrival and Mashiach needs the strength of the Jewish people, therefore it is possible to reveal the secret. It concerns the order of the chapters of Tehillim that King David said regarding all the wars that passed over him. His whole life was filled with endless wars, physically and spiritually."
"There are chapters that the tzaddikim know that David inserted terrible intentions into, that he intended them for the wars that Mashiach will wage in the world until the revelation of the Geulah. When they are said in the specific order, it gives Mashiach enormous strength to act as he needs to in the world."
"The chapters that the hidden tzaddikim say for the success of Mashiach: 50, 55, 56, 60, 68, 80, 83, 88, 89, 109. And if one intends in prayer to give strength to Mashiach, he receives enormous strength from it. Because the strength of Mashiach is the spiritual strength he needs to receive from us, as it is written in Torah 2 in Likutey Moharan that the main weapon of Mashiach is prayer."
"At the end of the Torah, it is written that the Jewish people pray so much and do not see salvation, therefore they mistakenly think that the prayers do not help, but this is not true. The tzaddikim take another prayer... until from the multitude of prayers, His mercy will be aroused, and until the time of the Geulah, we will not see what the prayers accomplished."
"It is written in Kochavei Or that the simple people who recite Tehillim are the ones who will place the crown on Mashiach. The one who prays for Mashiach gains much more than one who prayed for himself, because the role of Mashiach is to rectify all the souls, but in order to help, he needs to find a good point in the person. He needs to find an excuse by which that person will be helped, and with the prayers of everyone, he can say, 'Look, so-and-so prayed for me, I owe him, and I must help him.'"
"When we pray for Mashiach, he has the strength to help us"
"Mashiach needs our prayers in order to help everyone. In Heaven, they expect every Jewish man and woman to join in the prayers for Mashiach. The fact that we all need Mashiach and there is no one praying for him, this can arouse a prosecution: 'Where are the Jewish people? Why are they not praying for Mashiach?'"
"If we pray for Mashiach, he will pray for us, and every Jew who prays for Mashiach—Mashiach prays for him, and that in itself prevents decrees."
"The moment one prays for Mashiach, he does not need to pray for himself, and he is free to pray for the Jewish people... It is impossible to describe how important it is in Heaven every time Jews gather together to pray for Mashiach, and this is part of the process of the Geulah. It is written in the chapters of Hekhalot Rabbati that when the time of the Geulah arrives, men, women, and children gather and request great mercy... this is part of the process of the Geulah, the wheels upon which Mashiach travels..."
"One needs to know that there are very difficult wars here, and in order to understand what is happening here, one needs to study the chapters of Hekhalot Rabbati from chapter 33 to chapter 38, which describe these years before the Geulah. He said that whoever wants to bring merit to Israel should print the chapters of Hekhalot Rabbati in a booklet and distribute it to all the Jewish people... so they will awaken to understand the sorrow of Mashiach. Difficult things are written there about what he is going through, and it is truly an enormous merit for the public for whoever prints and distributes it for free to all the Jewish people. And one does not need to worry; there will be donors for whoever takes it upon themselves to print it."
"There are things he revealed, but he told me not to publish them, but he permitted publishing that every prayer for Mashiach prevents tears from the Jewish people. And the simple people who prayed with simplicity will merit the highest light, to place the crown on Mashiach. It is impossible to understand this, even though there are tzaddikim and geniuses in our generation whom we have no grasp of, but whoever merits to pray every day for Mashiach, to think about Mashiach, will merit the highest things."
"Did that same tzaddik who foresaw the Meron disaster attribute the salvation to Rav Berland arriving?"
"Yes, he said: 'If Rav Berland arrives, then everything will be fine.' To our sorrow, we did not merit. He said: 'The more people who pray for Rav Berland, the more he will be able to sweeten judgments from above the Jewish people...'"
"Only the hidden tzaddikim know the greatness of Rav Berland, and even they know only up to where they can grasp. Even they say that they cannot grasp Rav Berland. True, Rav David Chaim Stern said that the hidden tzaddikim grasp all the tzaddikim except for two: Rav Dov Kook, and Rav Berland—he is far above and beyond, they have no grasp of him."
"As much as Rav Berland is so great, so he gives us, the small ones, the merit to pray for him. For our sake, Rav Berland wants us to pray for him, just as he requests a pidyon (redemption of soul), after all, the money is worse than garbage to him, and everything he requests as a pidyon is only in order to help the person."
"One must seize the opportunity as long as the Rav needs the prayers"
"Also the prayers, the Rav can pray by himself, but he wants us to pray in order to help ourselves. One must seize the opportunity as long as it is possible, because soon the Rav will not need the prayers. Soon Mashiach will arrive; now the Shechinah and the tzaddikim are in sorrow, so they need the prayers—soon Mashiach will come and they will not need them."
"Whoever did not seize the opportunity will regret it, and it will not help him... Now they are giving us the opportunity when there is concealment, and we have free choice where a person can treat it lightly, but when Mashiach comes, everything will be revealed, and whoever didn't grab, at least as much as possible... now is the opportunity."
"As it is written in Kochavei Or that those who recite Tehillim with simplicity will be on the highest level... these people merited when there was darkness and concealment, when there was heaviness and it was treated with disdain. When the greatness is revealed, there is no payment of reward [comparable to the merit of doing it now]."
"Every time there is a prayer assembly, one must run with enormous joy and strive to say with the public as much as possible... R' Natan, the student of our Rebbe, was a genius of the world, but in the lifetime of our Rebbe, he would travel to him often and be with him often, despite the so-called 'bitul Torah' (neglect of Torah study). After the passing of our Rebbe, he said that he regrets that he was not with our Rebbe more to hear the teachings of our Rebbe, which is what gives life to Israel for all eternity."
"Now all the Jewish people are opening the books of R' Natan and doing teshuvah; the whole world lives in the merit of the teachings that R' Natan received from our Rebbe... and R' Natan regretted that he did not neglect a little more Torah in order to travel to our Rebbe. As much as Torah was important to R' Natan, every second of study, but in order to see our Rebbe, he closed the books and, so to speak, it was bitul Torah. And R' Natan regretted that he did not neglect more Torah in order to be with our Rebbe."
"We also have this test now; after all, Rav Berland requested so much to pray... and now to pray for the Rav is higher than the study."
"There are 24 hours in a day; we are talking about saying a few Tikkun HaKlali, how much time does that take anyway?... We need to grab this; it is the greatest treasure we have now."
