"A Jew Does Not Drink Alcohol" – The Daily Strengthening from the holy Gaon and Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a

The daily strengthening from The Rav, the holy Gaon and Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a – “All the nations rejoiced and danced; they helped the Nazis murder the Jews”

“And the city of Shushan was bewildered” (Esther 3:15)

“And the city of Shushan rejoiced and was glad” (ibid. 8:15)

Wednesday, 23 Tammuz 5783 – “If you drink alcohol, go through detox”

These are his holy words:

Everyone loved Mordechai. They knew that everything depended on Mordechai. Everyone was in shock—“And the city of Shushan was bewildered” (Esther 3:15). What does “bewildered” mean?

At the time they issued the decree, it says, “And the city of Shushan rejoiced and was glad” (ibid. 8:15)—they were going to kill the Jews. And after they lost the decree, it says—“bewildered.” Now they are going to kill the Jews—this is an enormous joy.

They helped the Nazis murder the Jews, to wipe out this nation. They said, “We can’t take it anymore—every day the Jews pray and learn Torah; they don’t do anything; they don’t get drunk.”

The only nation that does not get drunk is the Jews. A Jew cannot get drunk—there is no alcohol even on holy Shabbos.

You want to drink alcohol? Wait for Purim. Wait for Simchas Torah! You can’t drink alcohol whenever you feel like it, whenever you have the urge—it causes divorces.

If you drink alcohol, go through detox—go to detox, go to a detox institute! A Jew does not drink alcohol.
