A Ma’amar for Rabbi Shimon ben Lakish in Honor of the Yahrtzeit — 15 Teves
Today, the 15th of Teves, is the yahrtzeit of one of the greatest Amora’im—Rabbi Shimon ben Lakish, Reish Lakish. Rabbi Berland shlit"a wrote a Ma’amar, composed as a prayer, in honor of his day of hilula.
According to tradition, Reish Lakish is buried together with Rabbi Yochanan in a burial cave in Katzion.
