A Moving Story: The Soldiers Who Shed Tears Upon Receiving the Words of the Tzaddik
Many Jews recently shared moving testimonies about the awe-inspiring reactions they witnessed in the field when distributing the holy words of Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a to soldiers.
Light Within the Darkness
When these soldiers received the writings and began to read them, the distributors immediately saw tears streaming from their eyes. The soldiers testified that they had never heard such words—words that revive the soul and breathe hope and light into it.
Until that moment, they were accustomed to hearing only harsh words that torment the soul of the listener. "It is completely impossible to fathom the deep darkness these precious souls are in," the distributors shared with great emotion, after witnessing the soldiers' immense thirst for words of truth.
The Tzaddik Who Rescues from the Narrows
Suddenly, amidst all this darkness, a saving tzaddik arrives, pulling them out of the muck and the mire. These are multitudes of precious souls over whom the holy Shechinah (Divine Presence) weeps, and now they merit to taste the light of the tzaddik and awaken to a new life.
There is no doubt that all the great uproar has arisen specifically because of these rescue operations. This is why the wicked regime relentlessly persecutes this awesome tzaddik, for he extracts the precious from the vile and illuminates the souls of Israel with the light of emunah (faith).
May it be His will that Hashem return us all in complete teshuvah (repentance). And may we soon merit the revelation of the glory, beauty, and grace of the world, and may the glory of His kingdom be revealed upon us, Amen.
A Miracle Story: The Doctors Despaired, but Rabbi Berland's Promise Brought the Wounded Man Back to Life
A wondrous and inspiring story was recently shared before a large audience during the regular gathering at the "Nachalei Netzach" yeshiva in the Mea Shearim neighborhood. Jews from all corners of the Holy Land attend these gatherings to share and hear stories that testify to Divine Providence and the revelation of Godliness in our generation. It is a great mitzvah to publicize these miracles, demonstrating that there is a Master to the universe and the world is not left to chance.
That week, a dear Jew from the Nachshoni family arrived at the gathering along with his sons. One of the sons entered supported by crutches. The young Torah scholar sat down and began to recount an unfathomable miracle story, noting that he would only provide the introduction, and then his father would continue to detail the entire sequence of events.
A Severe Accident and Complete Medical Despair
The young man shared that about a year and a half ago, he was involved in a horrific car accident. His condition was so critical that all the doctors completely despaired of his life. At a certain point, the medical staff even believed he was no longer among the living. They operated on him and removed internal organs, such as his kidneys and a lung, figuring there was nothing left to lose given his critical state.
While he lay hovering between life and death, his devoted friends rushed to Rabbi Berland shlit"a to beg for Heavenly mercy. In those fateful moments, when it was still unclear if any breath of life remained within him, Rabbi Berland shlit"a declared with absolute certainty: "I promise that he will live!"
Heart-Rending Cries in the Hospital and a Wondrous Awakening
One day, the tzaddik unexpectedly appeared at the hospital along with a large group of followers. They stood beside his bed and recited The Tikkun HaKlali (the ten psalms revealed by Rebbe Nachman) with heart-rending cries for about half an hour. Exactly three weeks later, on the very same day of the week that the Rav had visited the hospital, the great miracle occurred. After approximately three months of being unconscious, the young man opened his eyes, to the utter astonishment of all the doctors.
From that moment on, his condition gradually improved, defying all medical prognoses. Now, he sits and personally recounts the wondrous miracles that Hashem performed for him in the merit of the tzaddik. Everyone is filled with hope and faith in Hashem that very soon, he will merit to walk on his own two feet independently, without any need for crutches.
A Chilling Story: The Father Cried Out, "You Have No Idea Which Tzaddik You Have Merited to Draw Close To"
One of the close followers recounts the moments of terror and the great miracle that occurred, which the patient's father testified about with great emotion. The father shared at length and in precise detail the dramatic chain of events, which began with a horrifying phone call in the dead of night.
The Call to Say "Shema Yisrael"
In the middle of the night, the phone rang in the family's home. On the line were representatives from the hospital, who informed them that they must arrive immediately with all the family members. The terrified father was certain they were being summoned for the final moments of the soul's departure, to say "Shema Yisrael" together around the patient's bed. And indeed, it later became clear that this was exactly the intention of the medical staff.
When they arrived at the hospital, the sight was unbearable. The patient lay in critical condition, and the medical staff was afraid to move him even a single centimeter. The doctors made it unequivocally clear to the family that any slight movement could cause his immediate death, Heaven forbid, and may Hashem protect us.
"We Have Nothing Left to Do, Cry Out to Hashem"
At a certain point, the doctors came out to the terrified family members and admitted their helplessness. "We have nothing left to do," they said with chilling honesty, "You have a kippah on your head – cry out to Hashem, may He be blessed." In those moments of absolute powerlessness, a tremendous awakening of heart-rending cries began, as everyone begged for Heavenly mercy to tear up the evil decree.
Ultimately, after the salvation arrived against all medical odds, the father stood astounded by the magnitude of the miracle. Out of immense emotion, he cried out to those present: "You do not know what is happening here in the world, and to which tzaddik you merit to draw close!" In doing so, he illustrated the tremendous power of Morinu HaRav Eliezer Berland shlit"a, whose merit stood by them in the most critical moments of life and death.
A Wondrous Story: The Two Survivors from the Ward That No One Leaves Alive
There are moments when it seems all hope is lost, and medicine throws up its hands. Yet specifically in the darkest places, the immense power of the true tzaddik is revealed, who has the power to overturn the laws of nature and draw down life into the world.
The Ward That No One Returns From
In the hospital, there is a particularly difficult ward, a ward notorious as a place where, Heaven forbid, patients do not leave alive. Usually, the patients hospitalized there stay for a week to a week and a half, and then pass on to the world that is entirely good.
A young avreich (Torah scholar) was hospitalized in that ward in critical condition, and the doctors did not give him much of a chance. However, Hashem, may He be blessed, in His abundant mercy and kindness, showed miracles and wonders through His faithful servant, Morinu HaRav Eliezer Berland shlit"a, who sacrifices his soul at every single moment for the sanctification of His blessed Name. The Rav arrived to visit the avreich, and in this merit, he merited to stay alive against all odds.
The Mother's Request and the Double Miracle
During that wondrous visit of the tzaddik to the ward, the mother of the avreich approached him. She asked the Rav to enter another room, where another patient lay in a very dangerous condition. "I want there to be a sanctification of Heaven's Name here," the mother pleaded before the Rav, and asked that he bring about salvation for that helpless Jew as well.
The Rav shlit"a acceded to her request, entered the room of the second patient, and began to awaken Heavenly mercy upon him. And behold, a wonder of wonders – Baruch Hashem, the second Jew was also saved from death to life! Today he is alive, breathing, and completely healthy, by the grace of Hashem, may He be blessed. From that terminal ward, no person has ever come out alive, except for that avreich and the additional patient whom the tzaddik visited.
Echoes of Teshuvah (Repentance)
The immense and double miracle did not remain within the walls of the hospital, but rather grew wings and made waves. This amazing story brought many people back in complete teshuvah (repentance), after they tangibly saw the power of the tzaddik.
One of the moving testimonies to the impact of the miracle was from a woman who owned a hair salon. When she heard about the immense wonder that had taken place, she took upon herself a courageous resolution. She declared publicly that from now on she is closing her salon every holy Shabbos, thereby adding another layer of sanctifying Hashem's Name following the revealed miracle.
