A Prayer Before Walking Through Shaar Shechem (Damascus Gate) for the Forgiveness of Sins

Master of the Universe, the Almighty, from whom no purpose can be withheld. Please help us so that we will never leave the Yeshiva within the walls facing the Holy of Holies. May we always walk through Shaar Shechem (Damascus Gate)—we, our children, and our children's children until the end of all generations. May we not fear anything, and may we elevate all the fallen fears back to their root in the letters Mantzephach (the five final Hebrew letters representing the sweetening of severe judgments). May we fear nothing at all, and may we have absolutely no fear of any flesh and blood, nor of any Nazi or terrorist, may their names be erased.

Please, Merciful and Gracious One, Almighty, the Strongest of all the strong, the Ultimate Victor over all victors. Please help us so that when we walk through Shaar Shechem, we will accept upon ourselves the four forms of capital punishment administered by the Rabbinic court: stoning, burning, decapitation (the sword), and strangulation. Through this, may all our sins be forgiven. By accepting upon ourselves stoning, may we find atonement for all the blemishes we have caused in the first letter Yud (י) of Your holy and awesome Name Havayah (Y-H-V-H), in the first letter Aleph (א) of Your great and holy Name Ehyeh (A-H-Y-H), and in the first letter Aleph (א) of Your great and holy Name Adonai (A-D-N-Y). May our walk through Shaar Shechem be considered as if we were stoned with every type of stoning in the world. Through this, may the letters Yud-Aleph-Aleph (י-א-א) in Your three holy Names—Havayah, Ehyeh, and Adonai—be rectified.

Master of the Universe, at the moment we walk through Shaar Shechem, may all our terrible sins be forgiven—sins we caused by boiling our blood in vain for the service of the Sitra Achra (the Other Side/forces of impurity), and for all the boiling of blood that burned within us for forbidden things from the day we reached a state of mature awareness until now. Now, in exchange for all the boiling of forbidden blood, we accept upon ourselves burning with all the types of burning that have existed since the days of the world. Through this, may the letters be unified, and may the letters Hei-Hei-Daled (ה-ה-ד) of Your holy Names—Havayah, Ehyeh, and Adonai—be rectified.

Master of the Universe, since we have constantly pierced our friends, our fathers, and our mothers with words that are like sword thrusts, we therefore accept upon ourselves now, as we pass through Shaar Shechem, all the types of sword thrusts (decapitation) that have existed since the days of the world. Through this, may the letters Vav-Yud-Nun (ו-י-נ) in Your three holy and awesome Names—Havayah, Ehyeh, and Adonai—be rectified. Please, Merciful and Gracious One, favor us with a free gift, and atone for us for all the strangulation and choking we have caused by bringing sorrow to our fathers, our mothers, and all our friends, and for all the suffocation we have caused to the holy Shechinah (Divine Presence). Now, as we pass through Shaar Shechem among murderers and terrorists, let it be as if we were strangled with every type of strangulation in the world. Through this, may the letters Hei-Hei-Yud (ה-ה-י) of Your three holy and awesome Names—Havayah, Ehyeh, and Adonai—be rectified. And now that we have accepted upon ourselves all four forms of capital punishment of the Rabbinic court—which encompass all types of stoning in the world, all types of decapitation in the world, and all types of strangulation in the world—from now on, help us, our children, and our children's children forever, that we may always pass through Shaar Shechem without any fear or dread whatsoever of any flesh and blood. "I will not fear the myriads of people who have set themselves against me all around. Arise, Hashem; save me, my God! For You have struck all my enemies on the cheek; You have broken the teeth of the wicked. Salvation belongs to Hashem; Your blessing be upon Your people, Selah."
