A Prayer to Merit During the Days of Shovavim to Rectify and Atone for "One Hundred and Thirty Was Its Weight," For Now We Are Entering the Cleft of the Rock
FOR THE DAYS OF SHOVAVIM
Master of the Universe, Almighty! During the days of Shovavim, grant me the merit to atone for and rectify all the aspects of "one hundred and thirty was its weight." We read about this daily during the eight days of Chanukah, and now we continue their rectification during the days of Shovavim by entering the cleft of the rock in the month of Teves. About this it is said, "Behold, there is a place with Me," and similarly, "Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me." For only the days of Shovavim can save a person from the judgment of Gehennom, preventing one from descending into the seven compartments of Gehennom without any chance of rising. This descent happens because of the sparks of the one hundred and thirty [years of Adam's separation]. Therefore, they offered "one silver bowl full of incense, one hundred and thirty was its weight." Through this, we rectify the lights of the Kesser (Crown) of Binah (Understanding), where there are 370 myriads of lights. Through the days of Shovavim, we reawaken these 370 myriads of lights in the Kesser of Binah. With them, we subjugate the angel "Samech Mem" [the Satan], who holds the keys to Gehennom. For Moshe prayed 515 prayers to nullify the judgment of Gehennom, and Hashem, blessed be He, gave him 4.5 hours every day, plus the 24 hours of Shabbos. This equals 27 plus 24, which is 51 hours a week. This is the secret of the verse, "Whose fire is in Zion, and His furnace in Jerusalem." Only through the pilgrimage to Jerusalem, when "all your males shall appear," is it possible to subjugate the fire of Gehennom. We subjugate it anew during the days of Shovavim. Therefore, the most important tikkun (rectification) is the tikkun of Shovavim, in which we rectify bodies for all the sparks of the one hundred and thirty.
For the elevation of the soul of Dinah bas Chana z"l, who passed away on the 8th of Shevat. May her soul be bound in the bond of life.

To merit during the days of Shovavim to rectify and atone for "one hundred and thirty was its weight," for now we are entering the cleft of the rock, and it is forbidden to fear anything. And to merit subjugating the fire of Gehennom, which is subdued during the days of Shovavim, and we rectify the sparks of Adam HaRishon.
