A Prayer to Merit the Power of Reciting Parashas HaAkeidah for an Abundance of
Blessings, Righteous Sons and Daughters, and to Sweeten Judgments

"Before [Reciting] Parashas HaAkeidah"
Master of the Universe, Almighty, grant me the merit, in the merit of the Akeidah (the Binding of Isaac) that I am about to recite now, to be like Rabbi Akiva, whose flesh was combed with iron combs. Through this, he merited the letter Shin of the Tefillin, as it is stated in Midrash Rabbah (Chukas 9): 'And every precious thing His eye has seen'—things that were not revealed to Moshe Rabbeinu were revealed to Rabbi Akiva and his colleagues. For he expounded heaps upon heaps of halachos (Torah laws) on every single crown of the letters. Therefore, for the Seder night, everyone traveled to Rabbi Akiva, who would expound heaps upon heaps of halachos on every single crown. He also expounded regarding the plagues: two hundred and fifty at the Sea, and fifty in Egypt, totaling 300, which is the secret of the Shin of the Tefillin. [This relates to the verse,] 'And he shall tear down (ve'karkar) all the children of Shes'—twice three hundred. This is the secret of Peah (corner), the secret of the Divine Name Elokim in its expanded spelling (milui), which equals 300. This is the secret of 'He shall crush the corners (pa'atei) of Moab'. (The gematria calculation: Karkar = 300 x 2. Peah = Elokim = 86. Elokim in its expanded spelling: Aleph [111], Lamed [74], Hei [15], Yud [20], Mem [80] = 300). All of this is hinted at in the Shin of the Tefillin, which Rabbi Akiva attained through having his flesh combed with iron combs. For Rabbi Akiva and his colleagues, who are the Ten Martyrs, attained all the hidden secrets through their own Akeidah (martyrdom)—all the hidden secrets until the end of all generations. Because Hashem desires kindness, and He only wants to bestow kindness. He desires life, to the point that a person will live for all eternity, just like Serach the daughter of Asher, Bisyah the daughter of Pharaoh, Eliezer the servant of Avraham, and the other tzaddikim and righteous women (tzidkaniyos) who lived in every generation. And now, at the moment I am going to recite Parashas HaAkeidah, may I not miss a single word or letter. For at the moment I recite the Akeidah, a Heavenly Voice (Bas Kol) emerges and announces, 'Do not send forth your hand against the lad!' Through this, we emerge from all troubles and all harsh decrees, and we merit an abundance of flow and blessings, and to become grooms and brides, and to merit dozens of male children and daughters, righteous men and righteous women, just like Avraham, Yitzchak, and Yaakov, and just like Sarah, Rivkah, Rachel, and Leah. Just like Yael the wife of Chever the Kenite (Yael Eishes [701] Chever [210] HaKeini [175] = 1086). This is the same gematria as Sarah [505], Rivkah [307], Rachel [238], and Leah [36] = 1086. Which is also the gematria of b'Shas [362], Gemara [244], and Talmud [480] = 1086. Because the Matriarchs correspond to the Shas, Gemara, Talmud Bavli, and the Oral Torah.

To merit the power of reciting Parashas HaAkeidah for an abundance of blessings, righteous sons and daughters, to sweeten all decrees, and to hear the Heavenly Voice declare, 'Do not send forth your hand against the lad.'
