A Shiur for the Avreichim of the “Nachalei Netzach” Kollel in the Home of The
Rav, the Holy Gaon and Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a

Lesson for the Nachalei Netzach Kollel for Avreichim, led by the Chassidic scholar R' Shmuel Stern shlit"a ◆ Summary of the lesson - Sefirat HaOmer as preparation for the festival of Shavuot
The esteemed Avreichim of the "Nachalei Netzach" Kollel, led by the Chassidic scholar R' Shmuel Stern shlit"a—one of the great students of our teacher Rav Berland shlit"a—were privileged to enter the inner sanctum this Wednesday evening, the night of the 11th of Iyar, for a special lesson for the Avreichim delivered by our teacher, the Gaon and Tzaddik, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a.
In the lesson, our teacher Rav Berland shlit"a spoke on a number of topics, including: the holiness of man and the shidduch (marriage match), accepting humiliations with love, the virtue of long prayer and melodies, the virtue of Lag BaOmer, and the preparation for the festival of Shavuot, the Giving of the Torah, which is approaching! And other living words of Hashem from his holy mouth.
Before you is a short excerpt from the lesson:
"For now, we are counting toward the festival of Shavuot! We do not count toward Yom Kippur, nor toward Rosh Hashanah, nor toward Simchat Torah, nor do we count to build a Sukkah, nor do we count toward the Seder night—we do not count from Purim until the Seder night. But here, for the sake of the Giving of the Torah, we must count every day. Because every day, we say 'to purify us from all dross and blemish' for the Giving of the Torah, to receive the Tablets. Hashem wants to give us the Tablets—now, before Mashiach comes, Hashem wants to give the Tablets anew!"
After the lesson, the strengthened Avreichim went out for the Maariv prayer and Sefirat HaOmer together with our teacher the Rav shlit"a in the courtyard of the prayer hall.
