A Shiur for the Avreichim of the Nachalei Netzach Kollel, under the leadership of the esteemed chassid R’ Shmuel Stern shlit"a ◆ An excerpt from the shiur — Sefiras HaOmer as preparation for Shavuos

The distinguished avreichim of the “Nachalei Netzach” Kollel, led by the esteemed chassid R’ Shmuel Stern shlit"a—one of the great talmidim of The Rav, Rabbi Berland shlit"a—were privileged to enter into the inner sanctum this evening, Wednesday— the night of 11 Iyar—for a special shiur for avreichim from the holy mouth of the holy gaon and tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a.

In the shiur, The Rav, Rabbi Berland shlit"a spoke about several topics, including: the holiness of a person and the zivug, accepting humiliations with love, the greatness of extended prayer and niggunim, the greatness of Lag BaOmer, and the preparation for the approaching Shavuos—Matan Torah!—and more words of the Living G-d from his holy mouth.

“Because now we are counting toward Shavuos! We don’t count toward Yom Kippur, and we don’t count toward Rosh HaShanah, and we don’t count toward Simchas Torah; we don’t count toward building a sukkah, and we don’t count toward the Seder night—we don’t count from Purim until the Seder night. But here, for the sake of Matan Torah, we need to count every single day. Because each day is ‘to purify us from every dross and blemish’—we say this for Matan Torah, to receive the Luchos. Hashem wants to give us the Luchos—now, before Moshiach comes, Hashem wants to give the Luchos anew!”

After the shiur, the avreichim left strengthened for Ma’ariv and Sefiras HaOmer together with The Rav shlit"a in the courtyard of the prayer hall.
