A Shiur for the Residents of Bat Yam and Central Israel at the Home of the Holy Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a

Last night, Monday night, the 16th of MarCheshvan, a shiur was held for residents of central Israel—Cholon and Bat Yam—at the home of the holy Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a. Below is a brief summary of the words The Rav shlit"a delivered during the shiur:
The Rav shlit"a opened the shiur by speaking about the lofty level of the holy and pure souls who were murdered in the Hamas attack on Simchas Torah. He said that a person must know that there is danger everywhere. As he had said the day before the shiur, they were “right behind the road,” and indeed, the next day—tragically—a terror attack occurred there.
Afterward, he spoke about the Temple of Chonyo and the entire sugya brought in Maseches Menachos. He explained that everything depended on accepting ביזיונות (humiliations) with love—like Binyamin, who, if he had accepted just one more blow with love, would have merited receiving the entire Beis HaMikdash. He also spoke about Yaakov’s flocks, explaining that they are all souls, as brought in the Midrashim. In the midst of his words, he mentioned that they had moved the clock, and said that in earlier times they would “move the sun,” and he brought several facts regarding this.
Toward the end of the shiur, he strengthened and stirred everyone regarding learning Gemara—because only this can take a person out of the terrible craving. A person travels to Uman and sees that nothing influences him; it is all because he does not learn Gemara. For only the Gemara fills the mind, as brought in Likutey Moharan.
