A Shiur for the Shuvu Banim Kollel in Bnei Brak, in the Home of The Rav Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a

The avreichim of the Shuvu Banim Kollel in Bnei Brak merited to enter further inward, into the holy inner chamber, for a special shiur on Wednesday night, the eve of the 23rd of Adar, from The Rav Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a.

The Rav shlit"a began the shiur from the Gemara on daf 147b. After that, he spoke about Moshe Rabbeinu—how he was in Pharaoh’s palace—and about the Exodus from Egypt. Later in the shiur, he spoke about Miriam the Prophetess, and about the Gemara in Sotah that says Hashem guarded her only for a dog. He then spoke from Likutey Moharan about “seeing the Tzaddik” in Torah 69—that the Tzaddik sees everything—and he spoke about Eliezer and the shidduch of Rivkah. Within his words, he strengthened everyone regarding the greatness of shalom bayis, that all shefa comes through the woman. He also spoke about the miracle of the streams of Arnon, and many other topics from the hidden treasures of the holy Torah. The long shiur, close to an hour, was concluded by The Rav shlit"a with the Gemara in Shabbos daf 56 regarding David, who seemingly accepted lashon hara—as it is brought there: “For David said to Mefivoshes: You and Tziva shall divide the field. A Bas Kol went out and said to him: Rechavam and Yaravam will divide the kingdom. Rav Yehudah said in the name of Rav: If David had not accepted lashon hara, the kingdom of the House of David would not have been divided, and Israel would not have served idolatry, and we would not have been exiled from our land.” After the shiur, he recited Kaddish and went out to the balcony of his home for Maariv, with a great multitude.
