The “Afu’im Belibo” chaburah was founded about a year ago at the instruction of The Rav, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a, with the goal of strengthening in-depth learning of Rebbe Nachman zy"a’s holy sefer—Likutey Moharan. The learning is done in chavrusas, and each week there are tests in order to sharpen and solidify mastery of the material.
Those outstanding young men who excelled on the tests merited to enter “into the inner sanctum” for a shiur from The Rav shlit"a on Wednesday, 28 Nissan, in the afternoon. At the beginning of the shiur, The Rav shlit"a mentioned the Biur HaLikutim regarding Parshas Acharei Mos; afterward, he spoke about the sod of the Nachash with the seven heads mentioned in the Gemara in Kiddushin 29b. The Rav spoke about additional topics as well, and after twenty minutes of the shiur, he recited Kaddish. After Kaddish, he distributed a gift to the precious young men, with a personal dedication, from the “Afu’im Belibo” chaburah—the sefer “Toras Chaim,” from shiurim of The Rav shlit"a from past years, written down by his student, the chassidic Rav R’ Moshe Tzanani shlit"a.
