A Shiur in the Home of Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a for the Avreichim of “Kever Rachel Institutions”

A shiur for the avreichim of “Kever Rachel Institutions,” led by the chassidic Rav R’ Moshe Menachem Kluger shlit"a ■ The right preparation for Purim ■ Strengthening words on prayer and learning Gemara
The avreichim of “Kever Rachel Institutions,” led by their close mentor of the Gedolei Yisrael—the chassidic Rav R’ Moshe Menachem Kluger shlit"a—were privileged this evening, on the night of 7 Adar II, to enter into the inner sanctum for a special shiur for the avreichim who learn in the evening kollel and in the Chatzos kollel of the institutions—given by The Rav, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a.
In the shiur, The Rav, Rabbi Berland shlit"a, strengthened the avreichim toward the days of Purim and the proper preparation for Purim—especially regarding “Chayav inish levesumei.” He mentioned the Breslov practice passed down through the generations: that “levesumei” means to drink a little wine, and not, Heaven forbid, to drink excessively—because through that a person becomes nullified from prayer and Torah study.
Later in the shiur, The Rav shlit"a spoke about the greatness of the day—7 Adar—and about the special virtue of immersing in Miriam’s Well in the Kinneret specifically on this day, 7 Adar. He also strengthened everyone to pray about the war in Ukraine, and about how a person must be ready to give himself over for Kiddush Hashem—to be like Yitzchak at the Akeidah, who asked Avraham, “Tie me well,” as brought in the holy sefarim. Continuing, The Rav explained that today, “to die for Kiddush Hashem” means learning Gemara.
Toward the end of the shiur, The Rav spoke about the virtue of praying with niggunim, and the greatness of song and dancing. After that, he concluded the shiur with the story of the Megillah, and with words of strengthening about the greatness of Purim, a day when all the gates are opened. And with the singing of: “Vatossef Esther vatdaber lifnei hamelech, vatipol lifnei raglav vatevch vatechanen lo… E-li, E-li, lamah azavtani…”—for about ten minutes, Rabbi Berland shlit"a sang together with the avreichim with wondrous vitality. After the shiur, the strengthened avreichim went out to Ma’ariv prayer with fiery passion, as every day, in the courtyard of the prayer hall.
