A Shiur in the Home of Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a for the Avreichim of “Kever
Rachel Institutions”

A Lesson for the Avreichim of 'Mosdot Kever Rachel' led by Rabbi Moshe Menachem Kluger shlit"a ■ The proper preparation for Purim ■ Chizuk (strengthening) on prayer and the study of Gemara
The avreichim of 'Mosdot Kever Rachel,' led by one close to the Gedolei Yisrael, Rabbi Moshe Menachem Kluger shlit"a, were privileged this evening, the night of the 7th of Adar II, to enter into the inner sanctum for a special lesson—for the avreichim who study in the evening kollel and the midnight kollel of the institutions—given by our teacher, the Gaon and Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a.
In the lesson, our teacher Rav Berland shlit"a strengthened the avreichim regarding the days of Purim and the proper preparation for the days of Purim, specifically regarding the concept that 'a person is obligated to become intoxicated' (chayav inish levasumei), while mentioning the tradition in Breslov tradition passed down through generations: that to become intoxicated means to drink a little wine, and not, Heaven forbid, to drink in excess, which causes a person to neglect prayer and Torah study.
Continuing the lesson, our teacher the Rav shlit"a spoke of the virtue of the day of the 7th of Adar and the virtue of immersing in the Well of Miriam—in the Kinneret—specifically on this day, the 7th of Adar. He also gave chizuk to pray regarding the war in Ukraine, and that a person must be prepared to offer themselves for Kiddush Hashem (sanctification of the Name), and to be like Yitzchak at the Akeidah (Binding), who asked Avraham, 'Bind me well,' as brought down in the holy books. Further in the lesson, our teacher the Rav explained that today, to die for Kiddush Hashem means the study of Gemara.
Towards the end of the lesson, our teacher the Rav spoke of the virtue of prayer through melodies and the virtue of singing and dancing. Afterwards, he concluded the lesson with the story of the Megillah and with chizuk regarding the virtue of the day of Purim, on which all gates are opened. With the singing of 'And Esther spoke yet again before the king, and fell down at his feet, and wept, and besought him... My G-d, my G-d, why have You forsaken me...' for about ten minutes, our teacher Rav Berland shlit"a sang with the avreichim with wonderful vitality. After the lesson, the strengthened avreichim went out to the Maariv prayer with a burning flame, as they do every day in the courtyard of the prayer hall.
