Brit Milah for the son of Rabbi Nachman Goldblum shlit"a ○ Our teacher, Rav Berland shlit"a, was honored as Sandak and delivered a shiur ○ Listen to the full shiur delivered at the Brit Milah feast
Today, a Brit Milah was held for the great-grandson of our teacher, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a, the son of the Mashgiach of the 'Breslov - Chochmah V'Da'at' Yeshiva for youth, which is under the presidency of our teacher, the Rav shlit"a – Rabbi Nachman Goldblum shlit"a, son of the son-in-law of the Nasi, Rabbi Yehuda Asher Goldblum shlit"a, and son-in-law of Rabbi Shmuel Stern shlit"a, head of the 'Nachalei Netzach' institutions.
At 11:35, the Brit began, with the grandfather, Rabbi Shmuel Stern shlit"a, honored with the Chair of Elijah. The great-grandfather, our teacher Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a, was honored with the Sandak-ut and the blessings. The act of circumcision was performed by the skilled Mohel, the Mashgiach of the 'Breslov - Chochmah V'Da'at' Yeshiva for youth, Rabbi A.M. Ashlag shlit"a.
After the Brit, our teacher the Rav shlit"a sat down for the Brit feast and delivered a shiur. At the beginning of the shiur, he spoke about the virtue of the day 'Gott's Namen' – the day of the Name, which is the day after Yom Kippur. Afterward, he spoke throughout the entire shiur several times about the virtue of the Brit and those present at the Brit, and what is accomplished through the Brit: "If a person is present at a Brit, then no evil will befall him all year long."
He also spoke during the shiur about the virtue of the name given to the newborn, Naftali Hertz, and subsequently spoke about the matter of Techelet and the verse, 'When you pass through the waters, I will be with you...'. He also spoke about the matter of Elijah the Prophet, to whom Hashem said, "If you want the mouth of Moses, go to all the Britot."
After about ten minutes of a fiery shiur, he began singing 'May you see children born to your children...' for about five minutes, after which he departed from the Brit while offering 'Mazal Tov' and blessings for much Nachat to all the descendants, may it be His will, without the evil eye.
