“A Voice of Joy and Salvation in the Tents of the Righteous” — Bris for the Great-Grandson of the holy Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a

Bris for the son of the chassidic Rav R’ Nachman Goldblum shlit"a ○ The Rav, Rabbi Berland shlit"a, was honored as Sandak and delivered a shiur ○ Listen to the full shiur delivered at the Bris seudah

Today, a Bris was held for the great-grandson of The Rav, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a—the son of the mashgiach in the youth yeshivah “Breslov – Chochmah V’Daas,” under the leadership of The Rav shlit"a: the chassidic Rav R’ Nachman Goldblum shlit"a. He is the son of the chassidic Rav R’ Yehudah Asher Goldblum shlit"a, a son-in-law of the Nasi, and the son-in-law of the chassidic Rav R’ Shmuel Stern shlit"a, head of the “Nachalei Netzach” institutions. At 11:35 the Bris began. The honor of the Chair of Eliyahu was given to the grandfather, the chassidic Rav R’ Shmuel Stern shlit"a. The honor of serving as Sandak and reciting the blessings was given to the great-grandfather—The Rav, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a. The act of the milah was performed by the skilled mohel—the mashgiach in the youth yeshivah “Breslov – Chochmah V’Daas,” HaGaon R’ A. M. Ashlag shlit"a. After the Bris, The Rav shlit"a sat down for the Bris seudah and delivered a shiur during the meal. At the beginning of the shiur, he spoke about the greatness of the day—“Gat’s Namen,” the “Name of Hashem” day, which is the day after Yom Kippur. After that, throughout the shiur he spoke several times about the greatness of the Bris and of those present at the Bris, and what is accomplished through the Bris: “If a person is present at a Bris, then no harm will befall him the entire year.”

He also spoke during the shiur about the greatness of the name given to the tender newborn being circumcised—Naftali Hertz. Afterwards, he spoke about the matter of techeiles, and about the verse, “When you pass through water, I am with you…”. He also spoke about Eliyahu HaNavi—how Hashem told him: if you want the mouth of Moshe, go to all the Brisos. After about ten minutes of the shiur, a fiery flame began with the singing of “U’re’eh vanim l’vanecha…” for about five minutes. Afterwards, he left the Bris while saying Mazal Tov and blessing everyone with abundant nachas from all their descendants, may it be Hashem’s will, without the evil eye.
