On Sunday night, the eve of 6 Adar, a true “joy in the house of the righteous” took place in the city of Modi’in Illit, with the wedding of the great-granddaughter of The Rav, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a—daughter of his grandson, Rabbi Naftali Zucker (may he live long), one of the esteemed members of Anash in Modi’in Illit—with the distinguished young man, Chaim, son of the chassid R’ Avraham Shapira (may he live long), a great-grandson of the tzaddik Rabbi Shmuel Shapira zt"l. The wedding was held at Nofei Illit Halls at the entrance to Brachfeld. At 8:00 PM the chuppah began, and the grandfather, Rabbi Berland shlit"a, was honored with the reading of the kesubah as well as with the final blessing (berachah acharitah). After the chuppah concluded, The Rav shlit"a returned home for Maariv with a great crowd, from the balcony of his home as on every evening. After midnight, at 1:30 AM, he returned to take part in the wedding joy, dancing with great intensity together with hundreds of Anash who came to share in the simchah of the Tzaddik’s household. After more than half an hour of dancing with tremendous enthusiasm, The Rav, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a, departed from the wedding celebration in Modi’in Illit, as a regal convoy accompanied him all the way to his holy abode in the Holy City of Jerusalem.

May it be a good sign and a mazal tov for us and for all of Israel, amen!
