Amazing: On Friday He Extinguishes the Fire That Was Destined to Happen on Motzaei Shabbos — The Holy Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a

An astonishing revelation — our master, the holy Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a, extinguished the fire that occurred on Motzaei Shabbos, Parshas Shemini 5782, through the shiur he delivered on Thursday night

As was publicized across many media outlets, on Motzaei Shabbos Kodesh of Parshas Shemini, a fire broke out in the prayer hall of The Rav Rabbi Berland shlit"a and the holy community of Shuvu Banim.

In the shiur that The Rav Rabbi Berland shlit"a delivered in his home, Neveh Kodesh, on Thursday night, the Rav shlit"a spoke in the past tense about a fire—as if it had already happened. No one in the audience understood which fire the Rav shlit"a was referring to. But those who already know the Ruach HaKodesh of The Rav Rabbi Berland shlit"a understood that there was a hidden intention within his holy words.

On Motzaei Shabbos Kodesh, the public understood retroactively what The Rav Rabbi Berland shlit"a meant—and that through his words he had, in fact, extinguished the fire. For although property damage was caused, severe loss of life was prevented, even though at that time many people were present in the hall.

“There was a fire—there was a big fire, a big fire—and they didn’t manage to put it out.”

“People got burned there—here too there was a big fire.”

The Rav Rabbi Berland shlit"a turns to one of the participants in the shiur: “You need to know the parsha.”

“Okay.”

And The Rav continues to warn in the past tense: “There was a big fire and people got burned—there was a fire, didn’t you see? So no… bring the firefighters…”

And The Rav Rabbi Berland continues, turning to the participants in the shiur and asking: “Do you know how to put out a fire?”

And immediately the Rav shlit"a answers: “You take water—lots of water, a water tank. There was an Englishman… there was a fire in a hotel, so… the Englishman went with a pitcher of water to put out the fire.”

“Here too there was a fire and there was no one to put it out—because there was already a fire here earlier!”

“Yes?” the participants ask, realizing that the Rav is speaking about something only he can see.

“Yes! And you always need to prepare water. There is water here—good. With this, you can put out the fire!”

And The Rav Rabbi Berland shlit"a blesses: “Blessed are You, Hashem, by Whose word everything came to be.”

The crowd answers: “Amen.”
