Amazing: Singing, Dancing, and a Torah Lesson in Heavy Snow — “My G-d, My G-d, Why Have You Forsaken Me” — the holy tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a, 25 Shevat 5782

When all around Jerusalem was white, and from above the snowflakes did not stop falling — the prayer courtyard of our teacher, the holy tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a, on Ido HaNavi Street, was burning with blazing flames.

Immediately after the evening prayer, to the melody of the tzaddik, our teacher Rav Berland shlit"a began to sing with the crowd for many long minutes:

“And Esther continued and spoke before the king, and fell at his feet, and wept, and pleaded with him” (Esther 8:3).

“My G-d, my G-d, why have You forsaken me” (Psalms 22).

And immediately at the end of the singing, our teacher shlit"a continued and said:

“So what did Achashverosh say to her?.., Forgive me, you are very important and precious to me, but what can I do?”

“And what is sealed with the king’s signet ring cannot be revoked”—someone who is sealed by the tzaddik, then we are finished; it is an eternal seal and cannot be revoked!”

“Now we are all traveling to Uman; there are already planes prepared—within 5 minutes everyone will be inside the planes.”
