"And as they afflicted them, so they multiplied and so they spread" - The Mass Gathering in Be'er Sheva with the Esteemed Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a
"And as they afflicted them, so they multiplied and so they spread." The desire of the esteemed Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a throughout his life was only to bring joy to our Father in Heaven. Rabbi Berland shlit"a knows and knew that nothing brings more joy to Hashem than bringing His children closer to the embrace of Judaism. Throughout his life, Rabbi Berland has dedicated himself to this cause, enduring endless humiliation and suffering for the sake of the Jewish people. However, the forces of impurity cannot tolerate when another Jew truly returns to their roots, and in every generation, they incite disputes against the true tzaddik.
The esteemed Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a has already surpassed the age of 80 and still strives every day to deliver lessons throughout the country, but the forces of impurity incite people of weak minds to pursue the righteous rabbi. Yet, Baruch Hashem, each time the verse is fulfilled anew, "And as they afflicted them so they multiplied and so they spread". Thus, after all efforts were made to cancel the historic Torah lesson planned at the gathering in Be'er Sheva, people saw the cruel persecution by those of lowly character on one side and the self-sacrifice and holiness of the true tzaddik on the other, and they donated a large hall for the gathering.
This created a situation where more people could attend the planned mass gathering, and the entrance fee was significantly reduced from 100 to just 30 shekels.
