On the night of last Thursday, the eve of the 3rd of MarCheshvan, a joyous celebration took place in the home of Tzaddikim—the Bar Mitzvah of The Rav Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a’s great-grandson, the son of his grandson, R’ Shmuel Izik Zucker הי"ו. The Bar Mitzvah was held with the participation of Rabbi Berland shlit"a, who arrived at the venue together with hundreds of our community members who came to share in the joy of the home of Tzaddikim. Immediately upon entering, he began delivering a fiery, flame-like lesson for more than half an hour, focusing mainly on sweet, honeyed explanations from the holy words of the Zohar about the greatness of the day of a Bar Mitzvah and the lofty power of the Bar Mitzvah groom—what he is able to accomplish on this day. During the lesson, The Rav asked the groom, as is his holy custom, “Do you want to be a Tzaddik?” When the boy answered “Yes!” without hesitation, he said that he will certainly be a Tzaddik. He added that when a Bar Mitzvah groom is asked whether he wants to be a Tzaddik and he answers “yes” immediately, he will merit to become a true Tzaddik.

After the lesson, The Rav shlit"a blessed the groom with the blessing of “Mazal Tov!” The Bar Mitzvah groom then made a siyum on Tractate Berachos together with The Rav shlit"a. After the siyum, The Rav shlit"a left the celebration with the song: “For length of days and years of life will be added to you!”

May it be Hashem’s will that we merit to see The Rav, the holy Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a, seated upon his throne, seeing a fifth and sixth generation engaged in Torah and mitzvos—by the light of Rebbe Nachman, and in the holy path that he, shlit"a, bequeaths to us—with bodily health and radiant illumination!
