On the night of last Thursday, the eve of the 3rd of Cheshvan, a celebration of the house of tzaddikim took place at the Bar Mitzvah of the great-grandson of our teacher Rav Eliezer Berland shlit"a, the son of his grandson R' Shmuel Isaac Zucker. The Bar Mitzvah was held with the participation of our teacher Rav Berland shlit"a, who arrived at the location together with hundreds of our community members who came to participate in the celebration of the house of tzaddikim. Immediately upon entering, he began delivering a fiery lesson of over half an hour, primarily on the sweet-as-honey interpretation of the holy Zohar regarding the greatness of the Bar Mitzvah day and the virtue of the boy, who can accomplish much on this day. During the lesson, our teacher the Rav asked the boy, as is his holy custom, 'Do you want to be a tzaddik?' And when he answered 'Yes!' without hesitation, he said that he would certainly be a tzaddik. He added that if one asks a Bar Mitzvah boy if he wants to be a tzaddik, and he answers yes immediately, he will merit to be a true tzaddik.

After the lesson, our teacher the Rav shlit"a blessed the boy with a 'Mazal Tov!', and the Bar Mitzvah boy made a completion (siyum) on Masechet Berachot together with our teacher the Rav shlit"a. After the completion, our teacher the Rav shlit"a left the celebration while singing 'For length of days and years of life they will add to you!'

May it be the will that we merit to see our teacher, the great tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a, sitting on his throne, seeing a fifth and sixth generation engaged in Torah and mitzvot according to the light of our holy Rebbe and in the holy path that he, shlit"a, bequeaths to us, with physical health and great radiance!!
