"And There We Shall Ascend and Appear" ◇ Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a Ascends to the Western Wall on the Holiday of Pesach

Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a, together with a small group of attendants and close followers, visited the remnant of our Holy Temple during Chol HaMoed Pesach (the intermediate days of the festival) to fulfill the mitzvah of Aliyah LaRegel (ascending to Jerusalem for the festival) on the holiday of Pesach.
Due to the "Roar of the Lion" war, the Kotel was closed to the tens of thousands of people who come to visit and make the festival pilgrimage to the remnant of our Holy Temple—the Western Wall—every year on the holiday of Pesach.
With Siyata DeShmaya (Heavenly assistance), Morinu HaRav shlit"a merited to act as an emissary for the entire Jewish nation, making the festival pilgrimage on Wednesday, the fourth day of Chol HaMoed Pesach, 18 Nissan 5786.
At approximately 2:00 PM, the Rav shlit"a arrived at the desolate remnant of our Holy Temple. Rabbi Berland shlit"a entered beneath Wilson's Arch and began reciting The Tikkun HaKlali three times, together with his attendants and a small group of close followers. After about half an hour of chanting The Tikkun HaKlali with its traditional melody, he recited Kaddish and returned to his holy residence.
