Blessings on the Release of the Esteemed Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a
After a Year of Severe Tribulations

Great Joy Over the Release of Our Teacher, the Gaon and Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a
A year of suffering has passed for our teacher, the Gaon and Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a, and for his entire community, students, and followers who waited and hoped for this sweet moment. A year ago, brutal officers arrived in the early morning hours and arrested the Rav shlit"a during a Gemara class he was delivering to hundreds of students present with him. The arrest was harsh and brutal, accompanied by the throwing of stun grenades and the beating of kollel students and women, while children who had arrived for prayer were present at the event and witnessed everything that transpired. The police could have done this in a much simpler way that would not have left scars, but they chose this difficult path; Hashem knows why.
Our teacher, Rav Berland shlit"a, was imprisoned without having committed any wrong. In an interview conducted with his attorney, Amit Hadad, following the decision for his release, he stated unequivocally: "It was forbidden to imprison Rav Berland."
Although the conditions of his release are very difficult, the conditions in which our teacher, the Rav shlit"a, was held during the past year were unbearable for any human being, let alone for a tzaddik over 84 years old who suffers from severe health problems.
Blessings on this joyous release, and may we hope that the truth will soon come to light and that a full release without any restrictions will arrive.
