Discourse of Secrets: Rare and Special Documentation from Behind the Curtain – Great Hidden Tzaddikim with the Gaon and Tzaddik, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a

The holy Gaon and Tzaddik, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a (may he live long and good days), arrived at the wedding celebration of the daughter of the holy Rabbi Golan from the settlement of Alma. This took place on Thursday night (the eve of the holy Sabbath) of Parshas Tetzaveh. The Rav shlit"a conducted the Chuppah (wedding canopy) with great crowns of holiness, as the hearts of all the guests throbbed with excitement.

In the aforementioned article (linked above), we showed that many Tzaddikim participated in the wedding ceremony to honor the hidden Tzaddik, Rabbi Golan. Notable among them were Rabbi Dov Kook shlit"a of Tiberias, Rabbi Mordechai Mansour of Jerusalem, and many others, both famous and hidden. Now, wonderful sights have reached us from deep within the holy chamber—rare and special documentation from behind the curtain, featuring the great hidden Tzaddikim with the Gaon and Tzaddik, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a.

Our teacher, the Rav, Rabbi Berland shlit"a, who entered to arrange the conditions of the Ketubah (marriage contract), sat with the groom and Rabbi Golan, accompanied by Rabbi Offman from the Badatz (Rabbinical Court) and other Tzaddikim. But before this, Rabbi Golan received him with a long hug full of love.

After arranging the conditions of the Ketubah, Rabbi Offman of the Badatz turned and asked our teacher, the Rav, Rabbi Berland shlit"a:

"What connection do I have with the Maggid of Kozhnitz (Rabbi Yisrael Hopstein of Kozhnitz [1736-1814], one of the most important Chassidic leaders in Poland at the beginning of the 19th century, a disciple of the Maggid of Mezeritch and Rabbi Elimelech of Lizhensk, author of many works on Chassidus and Kabbalah, known as the 'Maggid of Kozhnitz' [Yiddish: Der Kozhnitzer Maggid], founder of the Kozhnitz Chassidic dynasty)? I am constantly immersed in his books."

"What connection do I have with the Maggid of Kozhnitz?" Rabbi Offman repeated his question.

Our teacher, the Rav, Rabbi Berland, repeated his words while contemplating the question: "Yisrael of Kozhnitz, Yisrael of Kozhnitz, Yisrael of Kozhnitz. Together with the Chozeh (Seer) of Lublin, they went to bring the Geulah (Redemption)."

"Yes, but what connection do I have to him that I have been immersed in his books for thirty years?" Rabbi Offman continued to ask.

Rabbi Berland answered: "Because you have a connection to the Geulah (Redemption)!"
