Distribute to Soldiers for Protection and Safety • A New Prayer from Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a for the Protection and Success of the Soldiers on the Front

A prayer by Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a for success and protection for the soldiers of Israel who are standing on the front lines in these days to defend the People of Israel:
Master of the World—Almighty, from Whom no plan is withheld—hear our prayer and our cry. After more than 1,000 children—boys and girls—young men and young women, fathers and mothers, elders and elderly women, have been murdered; after we have become a mockery and a disgrace in the eyes of all the nations; when all the peoples and all the kingdoms rejoice over our collapse—since the time of the Holocaust, which ended exactly 75 years ago, there has not yet been such a catastrophe for the People of Israel. And where are we headed? “Where are Your former kindnesses, my Lord, which You swore to David in Your faithfulness? Remember, my Lord, the disgrace of Your servants, how I bear in my bosom the insults of many peoples—how Your enemies have reviled the footsteps of Your Moshiach. Blessed is Hashem forever, Amen and Amen.” [Tehillim 89] Please, Hashem, reveal Your holy arm, for “Yours is an arm with might; Your hand is strong, Your right hand is exalted. Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne; kindness and truth go before You. Fortunate is the people who know the sound of the shofar-blast; Hashem, in the light of Your face they walk. The kindnesses of Hashem I will sing forever; from generation to generation I will make Your faithfulness known with my mouth. For You said: ‘A world of kindness will be built’; the heavens—You establish Your faithfulness within them.” Please, Hashem, fulfill within us the verses: “I have made a covenant with My chosen one; I have sworn to David My servant: Forever I will establish your seed, and I will build your throne for all generations, Selah. The heavens will acknowledge Your wonder, Hashem—Your faithfulness as well, in the assembly of the holy ones. For who in the skies can be compared to Hashem? Who can be likened to Hashem among the sons of the mighty? A G-d greatly revered in the council of the holy ones, awesome above all who surround Him.” And may the blessing of Avraham and Eliezer be fulfilled within us—that they threw dust and it turned into swords; straw, and it turned into arrows. The Degel Machaneh Ephraim says (in Parshas Vayishlach) that because Avraham said, “I am dust and ashes,” he merited that any straw and dust he threw would be transformed into swords and arrows. So too, grant this merit to us as well: because we have been turned into dust and ashes, every arrow we cast should be transformed into an atom (a force of overwhelming power). And through this merit, may Eretz Yisrael be rebuilt anew.
