Emergency Fundraiser to Save Rav Berland shlit"a
The Cry of the Kabbalist Rabbi Shlomo Elmelich shlit"a

"I am crying out here from the pain of my heart, because I met with one of the activists and he wept before me with tears. He asked, what is happening here? The public is not aware of the magnitude of the danger!"
The Gaon and Mekubal Rabbi Shlomo Elmaliach shlit"a cried out from the depths of his heart that the public is asleep and does not understand the severity of the situation of our teacher, the great tzaddik Rav Eliezer Berland shlit"a, if we do not wake up quickly.

These are the words of the great tzaddik and Mekubal Rabbi Shlomo Elmaliach shlit"a
"After we sat in several meetings, we tried all the way not to burden the public, as is known, 'the pit is not filled from its own earth,' as the Gemara says in Berachot. We know that the situation of our community (Anash) is generally not simple, people here are barely making ends meet, but thank Hashem, in the previous fundraiser of 1.2 million, which was a three-day fundraiser, the verse was fulfilled for us: 'And I will pour out for you a blessing until there is no more...' There was a blessing beyond all reason and logic; people donated from what they did not have."
"Someone passed 1,200 shekels through me, a person whose children sleep on a mattress, and he told me, 'We heard the holy call, we heard the need, and instead of buying beds for the children, we decided to give this money to Rav Berland, so that he may be relieved, that it may be well with him, that he may be released.'"
"People donated with supreme self-sacrifice (mesirut nefesh) the likes of which has no equal. In this fundraiser, unlike the previous one, our hands are tied because there is already a plea bargain; we must conduct ourselves with the authorities with transparency. All the income that arrives is for the expenses that the court does permit us to collect for, for example: we know that not everyone wanted to rent an apartment to our teacher, the famous Rav in the media, and it involved tens of thousands promised to the landlord. He asked for six months in advance to insure himself. It is a large sum, to which is added the maintenance of the apartment, a personal doctor; the Rav has high blood pressure."
"The Rav is not taken to the hospital every time, but almost every day or two the Rav suffers from high blood pressure, and we do not drag him to the hospital every minute, therefore there is a personal doctor in the apartment along with private medical equipment. And also, every time the Rav is hospitalized, we ensure he receives private care, and that costs a fortune."
"The team dealing with the Rav's matter, who took this burden upon themselves—if I could detail everything they committed to for the Rav, they mortgaged apartments for this with supreme self-sacrifice. For example, the court requested that beyond the huge fine, they give another 199,000 shekels, which there was nowhere to collect from. One of the activists arose like Pinchas; that same week they had his sister's wedding, and with his father's permission, he took all the dowry money as a loan to release the Rav."
"The public must wake up. There are several avreichim, activists who have accompanied the Rav from the beginning of the affair until now, and they are between the hammer and the anvil. On one hand, there is a great burden on them, and the synagogue's association takes care of his treatment, and there are many expenses there, therefore all other expenses for the Rav must come from a new fundraiser. And on the other hand, to hold a new fundraiser and turn to the public again is not simple. To explain that it is simply about supporting the Rav's house—I can testify that for two months they had no way to pay the security company; I was forced to raise a significant loan for them to pay the security company."
"The security company threatened that if they did not receive payment, they would not guard, and then, Heaven forbid, the Rav would return to prison. Even if the apartment rent is not paid, the Rav returns. We, the Rabbis, without involving the public, held a fundraiser among ourselves. I, for example—it is forbidden to tell, but to strengthen the public—right at the meeting of the Rabbis at the house of Rav Michael Gol, I took out 5,000 shekels as a donation. Another Rabbi arose and donated another five, another arose and donated ten thousand, the Rabbis, the community Rabbis."
"Even before we went out on a fundraising campaign, we already did a fundraising campaign of the Rabbis, just to understand how necessary the fundraiser is."
"In practice, we decided at the meeting to collect 1,000 shekels from everyone, and I, of course, opposed it; after all, understand, is the 1,000 shekels that people donate a one-time thing or every month? In truth, for the next five months that the Rav has until Cheshvan to be released from house arrest, it is a burden that must be on the public."
"Let them not think 1,000 shekels one-time and the person will say 'peace to my soul'... I say this without shame; there are Rabbis who are ashamed to say it, but I say: I am ashamed, but every month we need to raise 1,000 shekels from every family, the public needs to raise 200,000 shekels every month. Regarding the lawyers' expenses, we hope they will be considerate and not ask for much money, because there was a tactic here by the prosecution, as if they agreed to waive the previous third, and suddenly the Tel Aviv prosecution does not agree. This puts the system under pressure again."
"We need a lot of Heavenly mercy. The story of the Rav is not over yet; I am updated on his health condition, and from a health perspective, the Rav cannot sit for one day in prison. Every day his blood pressure rises to heights that cannot be described; it is a danger to the heart. We always try to gladden the Rav and not put him under pressure."
"The guys who bear the burden, it is a team of true self-sacrifice; I am truly jealous of them. We, the Rabbis, thank Hashem, meet, but we have not reached the dust of the feet of their self-sacrifice, signing loans, fighting for the life of the Rav; this is not a simple war, a war with the Sitra Achra, with the Satan, literally."
"The Sitra Achra is fighting here with the true tzaddik of the generation, and everyone knows it. Only when they started again with the Rav did Corona start again in the country. Do you think these are simple things? Now they are trying to put the Rav in prison—they are putting him under pressure, and they are also getting into pressure."
"It is impossible to place all this load on two or three people. Therefore, we set up people who are conducting a fundraiser in Kiryat Sefer for the expenses of our teacher the Rav."
"The public must understand that if the Rabbis are issuing a call here, they should think that our teacher Rav Berland is issuing a call here. If, for example, the Rav were free in the beautiful years when the Rav would speak about redemptions (pidyonot), people would sacrifice themselves so much; how is it different now? Because the Rav cannot speak, so everyone sits quietly? So everything will fall on these three?"
"I must inform you that they are already collapsing. If we do not arise like in the episode of Pinchas, each one of us, and start also raising money—not just donating 1,000 shekels—it is impossible to know where this will lead, Heaven forbid. We have no source of income to pay from; nothing is left."
"There is a problem here; people call me and say they are willing to donate if the Rav will bless them. I answer, 'Gentlemen, understand, the Rav cannot bless any person in the world today. Legally, he is forbidden to conduct fundraisers and deal with the public, but the Rabbis are the representatives of our teacher Rav Berland.'"
"There is nothing to do, 'It is a time to act for Hashem.' If someone brings the Rabbis 10,000, let him bring the names of the donors and we will pass them among the 7 community Rabbis and everyone will pray for them. I promise you that in the merit of our teacher the Rav and our holy Rebbe, the prayers will be fulfilled in full, like the blessings of the Rav, literally. Because we are the messengers of the Rabbis, the thighs of the tzaddik. Therefore, I ask that everyone come already with 5,000 shekels and secure the five months until the release."
"I am crying out here from the pain of my heart, because I met with one of the activists and he wept before me with tears. He asked, what is happening here? The public is not aware of the magnitude of the danger!"
"This is what the tzaddik wants now, that everyone will raise the money and help the Rav. This is an emergency fundraiser to save our teacher Rav Berland, and every shekel that is given, let him think in his heart that he is giving it into the hands of the tzaddik. And we have faith in the tzaddik that the Rav sees from the beginning of the world to its end, and we believe that the Rav accompanies spiritually everyone who donates, and he will have success and Heavenly assistance (siyata d'shmaya)."
"Wake up, gentlemen, the situation is not simple—there are branches of Shuvu Banim all over the country, and currently the call is to you who are outside of Jerusalem. Whoever performs self-sacrifice for the tzaddik, he will also do for him."
"There are words of the Rav about the greatness and stature of the tzaddik, and what a person merits when he is connected to the tzaddik, in this world and in the World to Come, words of nullification of choice. If a person were to hear these words, he would run to support the Rav, to support the Rav's house and all these expenses."
