As in every year, this year too, the man of kindness and great deeds, Rabbi Yehuda Kadosh (may Hashem protect and sustain him), director of the "Yakirinu" orphan organization of our holy community, organized a well-invested, uplifting, and magnificent Hanukkah gathering for the orphans of the community.

The gathering took place on Tuesday, the night of the 27th of Kislev – the third night of Hanukkah, at the holy residence of our teacher Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a (may he live long and good days) and with his participation. The young orphans burst into emotional song for about twenty minutes together with the Rav shlit"a, a song that came from the heart and entered the heart.

After the singing, the Rav shlit"a delivered a special lesson on Hanukkah matters, which, as is his holy custom, expanded and branched out into additional topics from all parts of the holy Torah, while providing strengthening, encouragement, and illuminating the hearts.

At the conclusion of the lesson, the righteous children passed by one after another, in exemplary order, to receive Hanukkah gelt (money) from the holy hands of the Rav shlit"a. The Rav serves as both a father and a mother to them, to those whose father and mother were taken from them, and he takes an interest in each and every one with the warmth of his pure heart, inquiring about their personal situation and their progress in Torah and the service of Hashem (God), while constantly caring for all their needs, both physical and spiritual.
