"And Moses sent messengers from Kadesh to the king of Edom…" (Chukat 20:14)

"And know that through the spiritual forces created by the letters of the Torah that he innovated, these forces are actual angels… and they punish the wicked, as in the aspect of 'For He will command His angels concerning you… you will tread upon the lion and the cobra…'" (Likutei Moharan Torah 20).

The Rebbe says that through every letter in the Torah you create angels! And these are actual angels! Not like angels, not in the aspect of angels, not as if they are angels, but actual angels. The Rebbe says – know this! From every letter that you utter from your mouth, angels are created, actual angels! And they go and fight and protect the people of Israel.

When you speak words of Torah, you create angels, and these angels go and fight for you. Here there is some trouble, here there is some problem, there is some trouble for the people of Israel, they go and fight! From every letter, an angel is created, from every letter that a person utters from his mouth, an angel is created, from every letter that a person utters from his mouth in kedushah (holiness) and purity, an angel is created! From every statement, from every word in the Torah, angels are created! A great army of angels! "Hashem gives the word; the women who proclaim the tidings are a great host" – legions of angels are created! Tens of thousands of angels, millions of angels!

And these are the angels that accompany us at every moment! These are the angels that go with us and protect us! As it says "For He will command His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways" and one must believe in this with complete emunah (faith)!! One must believe that from every letter that is said, an angel is created – and this is called emunat chachamim (faith in the sages)!!!

Because what does the acronym G.M.R.A. stand for? Gabriel, Michael, Raphael, Uriel, this is Gemara! On my right is Michael, on my left is Gabriel, before me is Uriel… you say letters, you create angels! If you said another word, there is the camp of Gabriel! Another word, there is the camp of Michael! More! There is the camp of Raphael, Uriel… you said another word, you added more angels to the camp of Michael, to the camp of Gabriel, Raphael, Uriel, with every word you create angels.

When one does not believe in Moses, the kedushah diminishes, and the power of the angels weakens

"And Moses sent messengers to the king of Edom"… and Edom said to him, "You shall not pass through me, lest I come out against you with the sword" – all this because of the diminishment of kedushah as mentioned above" (Likutei Moharan Torah 20). The Rebbe says in Torah 20 that the angels Moses sent after the sin of the waters of strife were weak angels, sick angels. Lame, crippled, blind, the angels Moses sent were created after the people of Israel sinned at the waters of strife and did not believe in Moses, even though these angels were formed from the pure utterances of Israel, their kedushah was diminished.

Because when one does not believe in Moses, does not believe in the tzaddik, then the kedushah diminishes, and it is impossible to create strong, mighty angels from the letters. Not like the angels Jacob our forefather sent to Esau "And Jacob sent messengers before him" when Jacob sent angels to Esau, then all four hundred of Esau's warriors fled! The angels came to Esau and began to strike him as needed! He said to them – stop! They said to him – who are you that we should leave you? By whose merit should we leave you? He said to them – I am the son of Isaac! It did not help, and they continued to strike him! He said to them – I am the grandson of Abraham! That also did not help! He said to them I am the brother of Jacob! They said to him – if you are the brother of Jacob! If you are the brother of the tzaddik! Then you are one of us! They said to him – why didn't you say from the beginning that you are the brother of Jacob? You would have saved yourself all these blows! If you are the brother of Jacob! You are a good friend of ours! You even deserve kisses!

Jacob our forefather succeeded in creating strong, mighty angels that performed actions in the world. A person needs to create such strong angels that will go and perform actions in the world, such angels that will go and wander the world and do whatever is needed.

When an angel is sent, it will surely hit the target

Every word in the Torah is an atom! Every word in prayer in Tehillim is a missile! It is even more than an atom! If a person utters a letter from his mouth in kedushah and purity, then it is even more than an atom! Because every letter in the Torah is an angel! When you said a letter! You released an angel from your mouth! And an angel is stronger than an atom!

Because when an atom is sent, who knows if it will hit the target or not, but when an angel is sent, it will surely hit the target! From every letter, angels are created, and these angels fight for us, they will fight for us against the wicked! They will fight for us against the terrorists! "Mashiach will conquer the entire world without firing a single explosive bullet" (Sichot HaRan 2:2:67) Mashiach will conquer the entire world without war, all through prayer! All through Torah!

Now this is the work!! No need for guns! No need for pistols! No need for anything! When there is Torah and there is prayer, nothing else is needed! Now we just need to create angels! We need to learn and pray in kedushah and purity! We need to guard our eyes! The more a person guards his eyes, the stronger the angel he creates from every letter he learns and prays! And this angel will go and fight with the nations, with the terrorists, with the heretics, with the wicked. And according to the kedushah of the person, so are the angels created! Everything according to the kedushah! Therefore, all the work now is not to stop learning Torah! Not to stop saying letters! Not to stop creating angels.
