Everyone Knows How Much Rav Berland Has Done for Them and We Must Show Gratitude - Words of Rabbi Shmuel Stern shlit"a

The esteemed Rabbi Shmuel Stern shlit"a, head of the 'Nachlei Netzach' institutions, makes a heartfelt plea from the depths of his heart to the wider public to open their hearts for our teacher, the holy tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a.

"There is no need to elaborate, everyone understands well the injustices being done to Rav Berland shlit"a"

These are his full words

"First of all, we have the privilege to help with all the expenses of our teacher Rav Berland, it is a privilege worth a thousand shekels, and everyone simply has this privilege."

"So much time without the Rav, and we miss the Rav so much, each and every one of us, and at least something we can truly do to somehow recognize the goodness and gratitude to the Rav for all he has done for us over the years, as everyone knows how much Rav Berland has done for them."

"And right now, truly, after the Rav has been sitting for so long in prison, it is unbelievable that this is what is happening with the Rav, it is something that is beyond comprehension, because if it were another person at this age, they would have been out long ago. We simply see..., everyone knows exactly what is going on here, I don't need to elaborate, everyone understands the immense and terrible injustices happening here, there is simply nothing to say, these are known things that even the most distant people see."

"We need to lend a hand, because the power of the public is something entirely different, we are all, Baruch Hashem, truly united by the tzaddik, and we all want the good of the tzaddik."

"The Rav has been in prison for a long time, these are things that have not happened since the beginning of time, and now he is under house arrest for four and a half months in an unknown location. Before that, the Rav was in detention for four and a half months and was returned to trial again and a deal was reached.., because otherwise, who knows how long they would continue to harass the Rav."

"Therefore, Baruch Hashem, we received this deal after everyone here sat a lot on the matter and we saw that this is the best thing we could achieve, because there is endless evil here, unfortunately, the situation is such: they rented an apartment for the Rav, and security that costs over a hundred thousand shekels a month, the court requested this, and there are also unpaid legal expenses."

"There are the Rav's medical expenses, of course, they take the best doctors for him, because that is truly what needs to be done, there is no question, doubt, or dispute about it. One must know that each such thing costs so much money endlessly, the expenses are terrible.., of course, there is no reception of the public and donations. Everything falls on the activists whom I know personally, and I say that the public should know that there are faithful activists here."

"If only every Rav had such faithful activists who give their lives day and night tirelessly. Since the Rav entered, there is no day and night, I am close to them and see that they simply give their lives. They take loans just so the Rav will be well, one cannot understand their self-sacrifice, I envy their World to Come.., such self-sacrifice does not exist."

"Twenty-four hours a day the activists have left everything, even home, even children, they are only busy around the Rav.., currently, because there are truly no donations, and according to the court, it is forbidden to raise funds for the fine the Rav received, which is 2.5 million shekels, and for this, we are not fundraising and the activists are taking loans for this, because that is what can be done right now."

"Besides that, they have previous debts that cannot be digested and understood in what amounts they are in debt due to this whole situation. Therefore, we turn to the public from the depths of our hearts, no one is doing this for themselves, we are all doing this only for our teacher Rav Berland shlit"a."

"Our teacher and master Rav Berland shlit"a is a tzaddik, the foundation of the world, with Hashem's help, we ask everyone to help with the ongoing expenses which are over two hundred thousand shekels every month. It is impossible to bear this, it accumulates, every month another two hundred thousand.., it reaches millions."

"The committee of rabbis pleads and appeals that hearts will open and at least every family will give a thousand shekels because our lives depend on it. If, God forbid, for example, if there is no security, everything returns to the court, who wants that? Who has the strength for that? We only want the Rav to be well."

"Our teacher and master Rav Berland, may he live long and many years, we all know who our Rav is, therefore we truly ask that everyone open their hearts and wallets, and donate to those activists who are very strong, but already so weak, dealing with this for so long, it is itself a matter of life and death for them, how much can they endure? I see them, how much can they endure?"

"They do not involve the Rav in the distress they have, in all the suffering they go through. They do not distress the Rav even for a moment, everything, as it were, flows peacefully around the Rav."

"We ask everyone to open their pockets and hearts and give a donation of at least a thousand shekels, because redemption is forbidden.., but at least to help with all the expenses."

"And with Hashem's help, everyone who donates will merit completeness and satisfaction from their children thanks to the help to the tzaddik."

"Through this, we will merit the complete redemption speedily in our days, amen."
